Dyson Vacuums STINK!! - Major design flaw - Unacceptable for the price

Hi all,I own both the Dyson V15 and the Omniglide, and both have become unusable due to a serious design flaw. Within 2 months, both vacuums started to emit a terrible odor. I regularly empty the dustbin, wash the filter as instructed, and clean the attachments, but nothing helps. The air exhausted from the vacuum stinks, making them impossible to use.The root cause is that fine dust gets trapped deep inside the vacuum motor and cyclones. Over time, this buildup occurs with no way for the user to clean it out. If you've vacuumed a rug your dog sleeps on, that dust and debris get stuck internally. This is what's causing the odor, not just a dirty filter. You can find videos on YouTube, like “Vacuum repair man shows how to take apart and reassemble Dyson V11 for cleaning,” showing the massive dust buildup inside the cyclones.Changing filters won’t solve the issue—the problem is the cyclone buildup. The only solution is to take the machine apart, which voids the warranty, or send it to an

Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute - Rubber bits falling off and not same suction as initial purchase

Just contacted CS and mentioned about the ‘rubber bits falling off the machine” (near the main chamber) and was advised that I needed to have a video call in order for them to see the issue, however I did not want too do this and therefore they could not deal with that side of my complaint. I also offered to send pics but that was not acceptable for some reason. And whilst the rubber bits falling off the machine do not affect the usage of the machine, after spending a considerable amount of money do not expect any parts to be falling for something that is used for a short time at the very most twice a week for a very brief period. Tried live chat earlier but the robot asked me the same question at least 10 times hence I made the telephone call. I have been told I will be sent a filter for the “ack of suction” but again we have already cleaned the filter at the rear. CS was not the best had to ask the person several times to repeat the different questions it got somewhat frustrating by

Dyson Corrale straighteners faulty battery after 2 years no charge time

I am so annoyed to read so many complaints about the Dyson Corrale straightener losing charge capabilities after 2 years.Dyson seem to ignore all the messages or off pathetic advice.I thought it was a quality product, why are they so scared to help people.Contact with support is impossible.

Vacuum V15 keeps turning off several times

Hi,I have my V15 for less than a year. In the past weeks it started to switch off every time I use it.After few seconds it turns off, it does this 3 or 4 times and then it works just fine.I clean the filter regulartly, it looks very clean. I also fully cleaned the dust bin. Nothing really helps.I don’t think its a problem with the filter and not the battery either since its quite new.There are no error messages on the display. What to do next. I don’t really want to buy a new battery or filter to find out that it doesn’t fix the problem.

VOC Calibration

Hi, My understanding is that the Dyson VOC sensors (I have a BP04 and Hot/Cool) are based on a relative baseline with an algorithm that corrects the baseline as lower values are detected.Let's say my home already had a high VOC problem before getting a Dyson purifier, after turning it on, it will find the current VOC levels as a baseline, and assuming I have a constant source of VOCs (due to some issue in the home), the baseline will never go down and will register as 0 VOCs on the purifier. Only if things get worse in this situation, i.e a newer/more powerful source of VOCs would the number go up.Is this right? if so, do you recommend calibrating the sensor? I was thinking something like: Power off the machine and unplug it to reset the baseline. Open the window for a bit (assuming outside VOCs are lower) Plug in machine, keep in off but enable continuous monitoring, and leave the window open for a bit (maybe 5-6 hours) Close window Observe VOCsI assume this would catch an

Hi. My brand new v15 detect 4 days old on full charge, auto mode but can only run 21mins while the other photo from a youtube vid his v15 is 18mos old on auto mode and I think we have the same carpet but his vacuum can run 34mins. Any idea guys?

Hi, I’m usinf Dyson cool/air purifier and it’s filter is now all done so needs to be changed.I live in Finland but it seems like the filter’s alsways sold out, never restocked.I’ve been unable to use the machine due to its filter shortage and it’s been more than a half year what a wasteI need 360° lasinen ilmanpuhdistimen HEPA+Carbon-suodatin in Finnish but I can never get itAre you guys ever going to restock it or just make the purifier one time use onlyReally bad experience with this. Dyson has kept my Vacuum since 9th of August and not once updated me!! WTF IS GOING ON?!!!

Made a huge mistake in getting a Dyson from Dyson’s website and now am stuck without a vacuum cleaner for over a month since sending my Gen5 Detect for a small repair. Since last one month I have on numerous occasions have requested an update or a turn around time which their customer service refuse to give me. Is this even acceptable? Has Dyson really lost the plot and simply doesn’t care about their customers nor even acknowledge their issues? This will be my last ever purchase and I really hope this company soon is out of business the way they are treating their customers.

3 weeks ago I paid for my Dyson hair dryer to be repair. Dyson took my money but did not provide a collection date. I had to chase it up. I finally got a collection date for this week Wednesday 11th, no one showed up. I contacted Dyson Wednesday evening and they said collection would be Thursday again no one showed up. Because the collection can happen at any time of the day I had to take some annual leave on Wednesday and my husband had to do the same on Thursday. We have wasted our annual leave and my hair dryer is still with us. Very very poor service. It is also very difficult to contact Dyson via email.

To whom may it concern and Hanno kirner(ceo of Dyson) Re: Complaint Regarding Faulty Dyson Hoover and Poor Customer Service I apologies for causing inconvenience and contacting you directly, but I am very frustrated with the level of service i have been given.I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Dyson hoover I recently purchased (order placed on 08/09/2024 and delivered on 10/09/2024), as well as the poor customer service I have encountered in attempting to resolve the issue.I received my Dyson hoover on 10/09/2024 at 11:28, and within 30 minutes of use, it was clear that the product was faulty. I promptly contacted your customer service team and spoke to several agents over the course of multiple calls. Getting frustrated now on my 6th Dyson PH04 fan

Yes on my 6th one in just under 2 weeks is there some major flaw in this model first fan humidifier didn’t work second unit came damaged and the 3rd 4th and 5th and 6 one came marked inside the machine filter area on plastic and on the base of the unit inside where the water tank sits and on the top of the main water tank lid marked and scratched do these machines get quality controlled inspected or checked before they leave the factory ? Because I’m not having a good experience at all I’ve asked this to be escalated now to a supervisor yes I’m not going to see inside the machine but for a £700 fan there needs to be some sort of quality control but every time I take the water tank out I’m reminded of a big mark on the white lid it’s like a black streak mark shocking really

Dect5 wall mount system

I just got a Dect5. The wall mount system comprises 2 parts: (a) 1 wall plate; and (b) the mount itself that clicks into the wall plate.The two pieces came with the wall plate already clicked into the mount. There is no discernible way to separate the two, so I can affix the plate to the wall, without risking breaking one of the two parts.The plastic is hard (and appears to be brittle), so force seems a really bad option.Help…
