poor/extremely poor PM2.5 and PM10

Several times a week, the air quality degrades very suddenly. Sometimes I am home, sometimes I am not, sometimes I’m awake and sometimes during the night. Sometimes I’m home for several days and do not leave the apartment much… and the quality stays in the green.i don’t think the sensor is clogged or working poorly as I have another detector, a small one without any detail from another brand and that is located on the other side of the largest room in my apartment. The second one is not a smart detector, it’s just a light (green/orange/red) so there can’t be any conflict.And the two are usually in agreement over the overall quality.my place is highly insulated so the indoor temperature is very stable and the heater activity is minimal (I can also see it on my utility bills). I cook but obviously not while I’m not home or while I sleep. I don’t smoke and I don’t use any gaseous products. I use a built in ventilation system (over the stove but also from the building itself) whenever I’m

ph04 humidity app graph is high

Is the % humidity shown on the ph04 app calculated in the same manner as the ideal recommended range of 40-60 as it is consistently showing high in 75 to 90 range although we have used a dehumidifier

Warning icon prevents continious monitoring

Hi, We’ve been experiencing a warning icon on our Dyson hot and cool purifier (https://www.dyson.co.uk/support/journey/guides/368865-01?machineId=368865-01) for the past month, things we’ve tried to fix it:hard reset powercycling I’ve also followed instructions to enter the diagnostic mode and have the following error codes008-02-01-2008-03-01-2008-04-01-2008-01-01-2008-02-01-2 any ideas would be appreciated, the errors are preventing us from getting any information about air quality and temperature, however the heating element still works. Thanks!

hot cool formaldehide

Hi I bought hot cool formaldehide last year so first winter in use and very disappointed. It blows out as much cold air on hot setting as it does warm air and as a result room doesn’t heat above 18 degrees. Been back and tested and they say it’s ok. Resorted back to ancient convector heater that heats the room quickly on half setting, any clues please ??

is anybody using their Dyson Purifier/heater /cooler and the data provided by it to monitor/control the conditions in a room to combat mould/condensation issues?

I recently bought the wifi enabled purifier and after downloading the app , i realised how useful the  the built in sensors on the unit are for monitoring the temperature and humidity in a bedroom which regularly experiences condensation  and high humidity.The bedroom itself is north facing 9.5 square metres and my 2 teenage daughters sleep and virtually live in the room. ( high occupancy)The typical hole in the wall natural ventilation is not providing sufficient air changes per hour to cope with the amount of moisture they expelling into the air in the room every particularly at night time when they are asleep so each morning we are greeted to a film of moisture on their double glazed metal windows.I have studied condensation risk in buildings and learned how to use the WUFI software which allows you to analyse the risk of condensation and as a byproduct mould in your building. The EU may force Dyson to buy back air purifiers

Dyson don't sell airfilters for most of the purifiers in the EU. “Out of stock”.. Been like this for almost two years. I have tried to contact their service for over a year, no response..  After seeing enough commercials where they want me to buy more of the purifiers.. I had enough. Contacted some “EU complain” line. And after lots of “bla bla bla”. They finally going to “take a look at the situations”.They said it's illegal to “sell machines” with promise of selling filters etc. I hope this comes through. And Dyson have to take every purifiers back(in country's they don't sell filters). It's much easier to send the whole machine back. buy a new purifier. Use it for 12 months.. And repeat..

HP07 Nightmode Screen Brightness

Hi team,We have an HP07 Hot + Cool, even in night mode the screen is way too bright, almost brighter than standard mode since the white moon symbol is so much brighter than the air quality graph. Only seems to be an issue on heating mode, for some reason on cooling mode the screen turns off entirely which is great! Is there any way to dim this screen further, or even turn it off completely? It’s horrible, and if it’s not possible now, can a software update please be released soon to resolve this. surely it’s possible since it can be done on cooling mode, just for some reason not possible on heating? Can u also ask the person who thought the bright white moon symbol was a good idea for a night mode setting what they were thinking. Cheers

In the IOS Dyson app, I can see the history of my Air quality, PM2.5, PM10, etc, but it only goes back 1 week. Is it possible to access further back than 1 week?

Air Treatment - High Pitched Buzz / Noise - Help!

Hi All - I purchased a PH04 humidifier/purifier at the beginning of this year, and it has been a huge headache for me. I normally wouldn’t complain but with the amount of money I spent I think I deserve a better result. I am currently on my 4th unit - each one has after 3 developed a relatively loud high pitch buzzing noise, that I think can most accurately be described as comparable to the sound a cicada (more like 1,000 cicadas) makes. I use the purifier as a fan/humidifier overnight night in my bedroom, and the sound occasionally becomes loud enough to wake me up. It is most definitely not normal operation, because the fan makes an acceptable amount of noise for several weeks up to a few months before it starts happening. 2 of the units replaced outright right away, and the third one I sent to the repair center where it was found to be unrepairable and replaced again. While I do appreciate the replacement machines, it seems to me that the problem is widespread if 4 in a row have had

Why does the screen dim on my Dyson Pure Hot+Cool™ heater purifier?

My HP01 when the temperature is set at any heating temperature setting in about 10 seconds it dims and can’t read it even though room temperature is not at that setting.(Moderation edit - title updated)

Looking for tech support for an HP-04 unit.Just purchased from someone who usedit a handful of times. It worked the first day andthen the dreaded 'exclamation point' displayed.Tried the remote power button while turning the uniton for 10 seconds and the night feature as well for 5 seconds.Still no good.

I am testing the sensor , the small one doesn’t really detect VOC. I have the two side by side on auto.  PM are close enough VOC tho , the small one doesn’t really show VOC? Any solution ?

HP07 Hot + Cool

We got our Hot + Cool HP07 yesterday. Looks very nice but I’m not sure if it’s good for the job.I set the temp to 19 and put it on Auto mode. It’s still  blowing hot air even though it says that room temp is 19. We’ve put close to sofa and frankly when I’m sat on the sofa I can’t feel the warm air, it seems to be getting cold by the time it gets to me.  Not sure what tariff we’re on but it also seems to be using a lot of electrics. I I literally had it running for like 30 mins and according to my smart meter it used about 80p which is a lot really.  Any suggestions?

Dyson Exchange of Airwrap

I bought my Dyson airwrap a little over 2 years ago and began experiencing issues with it randomly turning off and then a random burning smell so I called Dyson. They were nice enough to allow me to exchange the airwrap however at this point it has been 1 month since the exchange process has started and over 3 weeks since Dyson has recieved the old airwrap. I have contacted their customer service via chat, email, and phone at minimum 20 times and am always just given the run around that they are “working on it”. I understand the holiday times makes things crazy but this just seems a little ridiculous. At this rate I’m not sure if I will ever get a new device. Is anyone else experiencing issues with exchanges?

HP04 Sensors malfunctioning, customer service is impossible to contact

I have owned many Dyson products and have owned the air cleaner HP04 for 3-4 years. Have loved the machine and app but when it comes to getting troubleshooting help from someone other than a chatbot, forget it.The sensors (2) are not functioning correctly on the unit as I have tried everything from hard resets, to claeaning/vacuuming the ports and filters, etc. It’s to no avail. Tried al day to get with customer service, denied.

Pure Hot&Cool Remote Not Working

Got the fan for christmas, remote that came with it didn't work. swapped the batteries out with new batteries, still nothing. customer service sends me a new remote, also not working. swapped batteries on the new one as well. anyone ever dealt with this? there doesn't appear to be anyway to sync the remote to the fan it's just automatic. maybe the fan itself isn't receiving any signal from the remote...

ph03 humidifier humidity reading

Unpacked it, and it is reading 69% humidity in a dry house in the uk.  Is this possible?  Had it on all night and  Water level doesn’t go down as humidity sensor reading too high and not working (I think).   can’t get any support.

Dyson air purifier big + quiet formaldehyde BP04 VOC and NO2 values do not display on screen

Hello, I have recently purchased a dyson air purifier big + quiet formaldehyde BP04 and for the first week, it seems to be working as expected, however, when scrolling through the information screens on the unit itself with the remote, it does not display the value for the VOC or NO2.  That said, when I look at the app on my phone, the VOC and NO2 values are displayed as expected.  Further, the values are being recorded and tracked in the chart on the phone app.  But again, the VOC and NO2 values do not display on the unit itself.  Finally, the other values such as air quality, PM, temp, humidity formaldehyde, etc. all display the value of the current reading on the machine’s little screen as I click through on the information button on the remote.   Does anyone else have this issue?  Does anyone know if there is a fix?  Thanks!

I would like to purchase the "Dyson Airwrap Origin multi-styler and dryer" but there is only in grey and gold, when will the Blue and copper option be available?Or how can I select the tools I want without having to select a set kit, for example I don't really want all 9 tools like the air hard and soft brush.

No control over fan speed in HP04

I have an HP04 and it does not allow me to set a low fan speed when set to heating mode. I understand from several other posts on here that this behavior is intentional, but I don’t see how this makes sense. Why have a fan speed setting if it doesn’t actually control the fan speed? I want a small amount of heat and a small amount of airflow, not to hear a loud blaring fan as soon as I turn it on 1 degree over the room temperature, and not to get zero heat if I set the heat to the same temperature as the room. The machine is clearly capable of a lower fan speed, because when you set the heat to the same temperature as the room, the fan slows down. Allow us to actually control this, and let the machine decide its own fan speed when it’s set to “auto” setting, not when we’re manually controlling the fan speed. (and the machine’s software is updateable - so you could fix this with a software tweak, and given the number of other topics on this board that have asked for this, you should)

Energy Use information

Many Smart Tech organisations are now providing energy consumption information on their Apps. When is Dyson going to do the same? This is most relevant for the Dyson heaters/filters fans, which by their very nature and constant use are going to be relatively high energy users. Once you know how much energy is being used, you can modify the controls to limit energy use. Would be very useful!
