When I attempt to lift my Dyson DC19 to carry, say, upstairs, the dust container comes off in my hand. Very dangerous! the only way I have to “safely” carry it is to keep my thumb on the handle and even then it could become dislodged. Not really an option!
The cyclone handle has 2 visible screws which when removed allows the front part of the handle to be lifted from the body of the cyclone giving me the ability to remove a separate transparent plastic part which contains 2 springs. A very small plastic part inside appears to have worked it’s way ;loose.
As I’m typing this It has occurred to me that if I buy a new Cyclone handle (Part No 966060-01 for the grand sum of £12,50), I just need to remove the plastic part from the new handle replacing it in the old part of the handle which doesn’t look as though it’s removable! Anyone agree?
