I was replacing the inner hose on my Animal 41, & when I turned it over during reassembly, this nylon gear fell out and I have no idea where it came from.
Can someone please help me with this?

Nevermind. I finally figured it all out. Vacuum is back to normal again.

What a great product!

@IDUNNO I need to know!! Otherwise I’ll now forever want to know! Where did it come from!?

It’s positioned under the right side ball. It is the gear that allows the handle to stay in position, up or down.
Took some fiddling to figure it all out but now she is able to keep doing her thing

Sorry, but I didn’t take any pictures of assembly. Good as new again !

Hi @IDUNNO

It’s great you’ve been able to get this back to where it belongs. I am sure you’re little helper was invaluable in it’s discovery 😁

This looks to me like a component of the service assembly, which is part of the mechanism supporting the internal hose. A tricky part to identify at first glance. Nice spot!

Now you’ve got the machine back to where it should be, it might be time for a filter clean. This should help with the overall performance and suction. If you’ve not already done it this month, our video guide should be useful:
