Dyson Airstrait

Hi all, I have searched a lot online including this community. The Airstrait has been my godsend for my hair… it used to take an hour to blow dry and then flat iron my hair and thanks to this device a mere 15 mins of work for beautiful, straight, shiny hair. My dilemma is that I plan to go to Japan for 10 days. I have read my device will not work or don’t use a converter etc… but I cannot imagine doing the old fashion way to blow dry and then flat iron which will take longer and waste my time. I definitely don’t want to do anything’ and let the hair go, which my hair will turn into an untamable beast of frizz and poof.  I want to know if anyone in the community dared to take it and make it work. I don’t want the generic comment as no will not work, or no converter, or no it’s made specially for your country only. Thanks!

tube pinches at attachment joining

Hi like user Mark N We have had in use the below model of portable Dyson vacuum cleaner, and since purchase have had no issues until now. Due now to perhaps to use, the tube from the vacuum unit/collector has some «play» in it, with the result it now presents a danger in use. With the result of this waggle gap it pinched a chunk of skin from a finger, very sore! please advise how this can resolved Thanks you Angela Whistler

Help Me Find the Right VacuumSPOTLIGHTED POST

Hello!! I need help choosing the right vacuum for my home. We are dramatically downsizing and I do not need a big heavy vacuum anymore! 1700 sq ft, all hardwood and tile, Australian Shepherd that sheds like crazy. No stairs. I need something that will be good for pet hair and DUST.

Dyson Animal Ball 2 is incompatible with my flooring

 I have tried every avenue to get assistance with my Dyson animal ball 2. The vacuum does NOT push or pull on my floor to the point that I can't use it. I have chatted, sent emails, and called customer support and can't get anyone to help me. This is a known issue in the Dyson community and on line. Apparently this is caused by an air flow issue. I am frustrated at the cost of an appliance that does not work.  Thoughts?

The Dyson supersonic came faulty

I have just received the Dyson supersonic copper one that I ordered yesterday. By inspecting it I have noticed 2 issues from the unit i received.The power button does not go all the way up to be on. Easily goes off by just touching it. small gap between the copper coloured part and the body, showing the internal.I will attach the photos of them. Can I get a replacement or repair ASAP? I’m disappointed with the quality. It’s fresh out of box!

Return Dyson

I just bought dyson airwrap from USA which operates 120V , but I live in Saudi Arabia and all machine operates 220V.I tried contacting Dyson representatives in my country, they told me I can't replace it and all I can do is to return my airwrap!Is there another solution? and if not, what is the process to return Dyson airwrap?

Why is my Dyson Cyclone V10 vacuum making a pulsing noise?

Our Dyson has been doing this for some time. There is not light saying something is blocked or filter. There is nothing canister and the filter is clean. It will only work on boost which makes me think it’s not the battery (if boost still works). (Moderation edit - title updated)

I have just unboxed my newly purchased Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless and on two of the attachment casings there appear to be cracksThere was no damage to the box that it came in, any ideas?Thanks

Dyson Animal Pro Cleaner Head Assembly

What is the minimum bristle length before you need to change out the cleaner head and can you just buy the bristles rather than the whole head which seems a terrible waste. Thanx for you replies Greg

Hi. I bought a Dyson Airwrap HS05 recently, and later figured out it’s 110V version. I found a motherboard for HS01 (220V version) and I was thinking whether it will work out if I use that motherboard.

V10 Cyclone rollers will not spin on my machine, but do on others

I connected the roller directly to the machine body, but, although power is getting to the head, it won’t spin. There is no problem when attaching directly to another Dyson Cyclone. Have tried all my rollers with the same results.Customer service say I need to replace the main body, but I’m not prepared to shell out £105 if there are other things I can check. The CS person said there was no alternative to the replacement.Can anyone suggest other things to check and/or clean.

Part numbers meaning

What is the difference between part numbers 966489-12 , 966489-08, 966489-04 etc , They all have the same number but last 2 digits are different. is this related to model/compatablitlty or date of manufacture or something else?

 I received a Dyson airwrap for Christmas. However everytime I use it it doesn't seem to straighten my hair. My hair is already volumised and curly. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong?

DYSON HP09 cant start

I live in Vietnam we using 220V , my friend gave me the HP09 he bought from the USA so  i bought a autotransformer(power converter) 3000VA -Maximum capacity: 2400W, when I turned on the fan it wouldn't turn on and the fuse blew. Please help me. Thank you guys

Lego Jammed in Gen 5 Cordless Bin. Unable to open bin release.

  I've managed to get a large piece of lego lodged in the bin of my Gen 5 Cordless which is preventing the the bin sliding up to empty. Does anyone know an alterative way of getting the bin off so i can take this lego out? You can see i  the first picture i can get the bin to slide slightly and that allows you to see just how lodged the lego is. Any assistance apprecaited?  Thanks

Repair Hairdryer bought from overseas

Hello, I bought my Dyson supersonic hairdryer a few years ago in Hong Kong, relocated to the UK and used it fine for a few years. It’s not working now so I called the hotline hoping to get a repair. The customer service staff told me if the serial number does not have “UK” (meaning it’s bought here in the UK) they won’t be able to create a case for me. Is there something Dyson can do with this policy? Covering repairs for purchases from overseas? It does not make sense to throw away the hairdryer without even trying to check if it can be repaired, simply because “a case cannot be opened”. I don’t know what I can do with the machine now, it just seems such a waste to dispose of it. Furthermore, I don’t think this is in line with Dyson’s sustainability agenda. I believe Dyson should revisit its repair policy re origins of purchase. And to add to it, the attitude of the customer service staff is pretty bad, showed no sign at all to offer help.

Why is my Dyson V8 vacuum's cleaner head making scraping noises

We have a Dyson V8 that is only 7 months old; it’s used in a Pharmacy tea room.  The machine is used by numerous people and somehow overnight it now is making a scraping noise on the floor.  Has anyone had this happen ?  I’m trying to work out the problem with no knowledge of the machine.

cyclone v10 serial number

Cannot remove screws on cyclone to get at serial number. The screws are too tight. Are serial numbers elsewhere on vacuum?

Switch out Dyson Airwrap US for India

Hi,I need to switch out my Dyson Airwrap that I purchased in the US for an Airwrap purchased in India as I am moving countries. We don’t buy such expensive electronics for them to not work in different countries. can anybody help please? Product is still under 2 yr warranty and located in SF.

Exchange issues with my Airwrap and Support Team

About a week ago I called Dyson, about my Airwrap I have bought for my girflriend while i was in the USA, and now that valentine day was coming out i just took it out the package to test if it works before giving it to her but only a white light was blinking so i called Dyson support team, and she said i can just send you guys my US version one and you will exhange me the EU version one for free of charge.. I shipped the airwrap the next day and some days passed  and it was delivered and i waited 2 days like Dyson Support team said its time for proccessing the packages, and then i called Dyson Support team again since there was no update in the email and now Dyson Support Team said that there was never an option of free exchange devices and he said that i have to pay a Fee for Servicing even though its just a simple exchange since my AirWrap was brand new, and i was very very confused and i didnt know what to do, some time next the guy from the Support team was becoming angry at someon

New V11 stuck on 70%

Hello everyone,I have an issue with first charging of V11, is stuck at 70% (keep it for more then 48 hours). I am not using a dock and it looks to be charging but not changing. I can`t even drain battery, LCD says “Full charge before first use” . Im yet to use this.Please help!
