Concerns Regarding Quality and Durability of Dyson V10 Animal

Dear Dyson Customer Service,I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the Dyson V10 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner. I own two identical V10 Animal vacuums—one for myself and one that I purchased for my elderly parents during the lockdown.My vacuum, which I use regularly, had a trigger failure after four years of use, and I paid £120 to replace the part, assuming it was a result of heavy usage. However, my parents' V10 Animal, which is only used once a week in their small apartment by a cleaner and has seen minimal use, has suffered the same issue with the trigger mechanism.Given the light usage of the second machine and the fact that this failure has occurred on two identical models, I firmly believe this is not an isolated incident but a design or quality issue with the V10 Animal. How can I get help with a repair query?

I purchased a Dyson hair care product back in August 2024 through Ebay (Dyson’s own shop). This was a refurbished product that came with 1 YEAR WARRANTY. A month after having the machine the lock mechanism broke and all attachments were falling off. I called customer service to book a repair and they booked a collection via DPD two weeks later. On the day of the repair collection no one came to collect so I rang Dyson up and they booked another for a further two weeks later. The next day the DPD driver came using the first repair collection reference number. As a result a Dyson representative cancelled the repair as there was then two booked. Instead of cancelling the latter one she cancelled the orginal booking through with my machine was collected. I waited 3 weeks and nothing, no email no call about where my machine was and everytime I call Dyson customer service they say YOUR MACHINE IS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED BECAUSE ITS WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. Dyson Vacuums Rock!

Dear Dyson Community,This is my first time posting and I’m thrilled to have found this group of excellent people! My name is Tim and, for the past 6 years, I have been obsessed with both of my Dyson vacuums (battery operated and plug in). In fact, I like using them so much that sometimes they get me in trouble (like when I start vacuuming under the table while my family is still eating dinner!). With three kids and a dog, I know that I can always count on my Dyson to quickly spring into action and keep the house clean.My friend Trav and I recently launched a podcast about life in our 40’s, which is meant to be both lighthearted and engaging. At some point in each episode, I inevitably end up sharing how much I love my Dyson products. Does anyone know what it takes to secure a Dyson sponsorship? The worst customer service ever

I have had a terrible experience with Dyson’s customer service. I ordered two hair dryers in September, and although the delivery was delayed until the end of October, I was okay with that. However, I only received one of the hair dryers. I have called customer service multiple times, spending 30 minutes to an hour each time explaining my issue, but no one has been able to resolve it. They just keep telling me to contact UPS by myself and do nothing to help. This is incredibly frustrating, and I will not be purchasing any Dyson products in the future. Their customer service is non-existent.

What is the Dyson policy for newly purchased faulty Airwrap ?

Hello,I recently purchased a brand new Dyson airwrap Hs05 in Cyprus. After using it twice it stopped working and the red light started flashing. Although still clean, I cleaned the filter as recommended. The issue continued with the white light now flashing and the red one flashing. The product was taken to the local Dyson service to check it.Unfortunately the local Dyson distributor does not accept to exchange the faulty product with a new one, but has just offered to replace the main body with another one of different colors!How can I be sure that this is not refurbished since I recently paid for a brand new set?is this some that Dyson advises for a brand new product used only twice?!?!

Dyson Customer Support - Poor Service and Warranty Issues

My HP09 is displaying a warning symbol and is non functional. As luck would have it, Dyson customer care says their systems down due to technical issues and that it will be down for an undetermined amount of time and that they cannot process a mail in replacement. Their suggestion is that I drive over an hour away to drop off the unit for service - not only does that amount to four hours of my time driving there to drop it off, drive back home, then drive back to pick it up a couple days later, then drive back home again to potentially resolve things, but my state and the surrounding states were just hit by a hurricane and the roads in some areas still aren’t safe to travel on. In any event a Dyson Support Supervisor promised me I would get a callback from a Dyson Support manager to work out other service options (after being on the phone for three hours only to get no where) - It’s been 7 days and nothing… Not an email, no call, obviously no voicemail - nothing. Who can I contact that

Late 2024: how can I leave a product review on the Dyson website?

On this site, there is advice about how to create a review on Dyson website, but it doesn’t work - at least on Dyson’s UK site as of November 2024. If I go to a product page and click on reviews, there is no option if I scroll down to add a review any more. Also, I can’t do so from the MyDyson site when looking at my product. I’ve tried on an iPhone and an iPad, and using Safari and Chrome.So, does anyone know how to add a review based on the lastest version of the Dyson website.

Not yet received the product but also no refund and no response from Dyson

I ordered the product online, but the courier insisted I need to get the product at its designated center on my own after the courier said NO ONE at home where I was at home and sitting right next to the door. However, I don’t drive, so I have canceled the order and requested a refund. After around one week, no one responded again, and of course, there was no refund.

Customer service is terrible at Dyson… why?

It’s very evident that once Dyson has your money they could care less about you! I have owned a Dyson for 10 years and have purchased directly from Dyson before but this is the first time I needed to rely on their support and it’s terrible. After placing an order on a Sunday and realizing that my old address was somehow prefilled using Apple Pay, I reached out to customer support first thing Monday morning as soon as customer support was available. I was told they would attempt to cancel my order but they could not correct the mailing address, support has no access to the system. I was told if a tracking number was provided to immediately fill out a form so Dyson could adjust the mailing address and sure enough I received an email the same evening that my order was shipping. I completed the form through Dyson ASAP.  I was also informed that my order would ship via UPS and I could contact UPS and request to pick up my order at their office. V12 Detect Slim Filters Out of Stock Forever? Anyone buy a generic one that works?

I foolishly bought a V12 Detect Slim in April of 2024, following the recommendation of the NYT Wirecutter website. It has NOT been a good vacuum in any way. Every time I use the vacuum for even 10 minutes (and I have no pets), I get a clean filter notice. I wash the filter and it needs 24 hours to dry. So, it can take me several days just to vacuum a small, 750 square foot apartment. It’s insane. I’ve been trying to buy a second filter (so I can at least vacuum the entire apartment) for months and months and it is always out of stock and I can’t find an OEM filter anywhere else either.  Dyson claims the filter will be in stock “in a week”...for 8 months. I’ve come to the conclusion that there will be no more filters made for my model. (And yes, I have asked on both the chat and by telephone.) Until I can afford to get a different vacuum (probably by a different manufacturer as I am so soured on Dyson after this experiences, I’m not willing to pay a premium for their products again), I

blue discoloration on new sakura pink dyson airwrap

I JUST got back from japan and used my limited edition pink airwrap only 2 times. I barely used it because i have been wanting to film unboxing content. When i went to wipe it down before placing it back in the box, i noticed blue staining around my wand….. it will not come off no matter what i do and i have absolutely no idea where it came from. I have kept it so protected for the sake of the unboxing video so i absolutely do not think i caused the stains. Ive been wanting an airwrap for YEARS and they finally came out with the perfect color. The reason i got this one is because i loved the pink and if the color is already ruined within just 3 uses, then i wasted my money on this. I am extremely disappointed. It looks worse in person than in the photos and my airwrap just looks overall dirty now. @dyson is there anything you guys can do? Is there anything i can do to get rid of and prevent the stains?

Month long repair wait, refusal to escalate complaints and no offer of any resolution.

Purchased dyson V10 cordless hoover with wedding money for it to not work less than 2 years later, the ‘max’ function is entirely unusable. The filter light has flashed on and off for weeks even after cleaning the filter and drying for more than 24 hours.This has all lead to the hoover now not staying on for longer than 10 seconds, all demonstrated on an entirely frustrating hour long phone call with customer service who agreed the machine is clean and it now needs a repair. Repair wait for collection is three weeks away and then a further wait for the hoover to be returned to us, which looking at other conversations, doesn’t fill me with hope. Family of five, £350 hoover and now a month without one based on faults out with my control.Dyson offer no customer service escalation, just repeatedly told ‘nothing we can do, can’t pass you on to anyone else oh and they don’t acknowledge all complaints’. Purchase date also was three months before so our warranty was conveniently expired even t

no refund after returning an item.....

Hi all, I’m wondering whether this is a common problem with Dyson not giving you a refund after returning an item? (my refund reference number Dyson has given me is 385 291 22) On 30th Sept, I returned a submarine vacuum / mop because the mop was leaking dirty water everywhere - really poor design. Today is 25th Oct, and I still haven’t received a refund. I called their customer services three times now and they took a picture of my return receipt from the post office, promised that they will process the refund, escalate it to their accounting team, etc etc but no actual refund received. Is this a common problem? I really don’t know what else I can do because every time I call their customer services, they will ‘escalate’ it but there is no action.

Horrible Horrible Business

Where to start…. I purchased a vacuum from Dyson and immediately had issues. The head did not suck as I would have expected. Being a previous Dyson owner and having a vacuum head that would suck and clean the carpet very well to then upgrading to a Kinetic Big Ball animal vacuum that would hardly pick up popcorn kennels and dirt from my carpet. Sent it back and Dyson did a clean on it and ensured it was in working order, however did not advise what they did or even if there was anything specifically wrong with it when I sent it back. I continued to use it and continued to be unsatisfied. In February of this year (2024) I contacted Dyson to advise that I was not pleased with the machine and asked to return it given there satisfaction guarantee. I figured I would try a new machine that they had and see if that would work better.  This is where things get interesting……..I returned it and heard nothing from them, NOTHING. Waiting on refund

Order #1650883639I am very disappointed with Dyson’s customer service.  It is the worst I have ever experienced. I submitted an online request to return my Dyson V12 Detect Slim on 9/08/24. I received an email saying that I would receive a response within 48 hours.  When I did not receive a response, I chatted with a representative who approved the return issued a return label. I returned the vacuum on 9/13. I tracked the UPS return and Dyson received the vacuum on 9/19.  I talked with a representative on 9/30 who verified that the vacuum was received and in the warehouse. I was told that I would receive my refund by Friday, October 3.  I chatted with a representative again on 10/8 who also verified that the vacuum was received and that I would be receiving my refund. As of today, I have not received any correspondence from Dyson acknowledging the return and refunding my money. The return is also not showing when I log in and look at orders and returns.  I have pictures of the conversa

Hello community! I’m reaching out because after saving to get my first Dyson, I got one in Century Mall- LA - earlier this month on a trip to US. I got the new Airwrap on my last day there to bring it home to Colombia, the voltage is the same and even in the box it’s says it compatible in US, MX and CO, but when I tried to use it here it never turn on, I tried troubleshooting on the website and contacting support but no repose yet. Someone can share if they had a case like this?  Ps. I can not afford to flight to US again, so I need for them to help me with this here in Colombia.  Thank you!

Dyson goes off during vacuuming and discharges battery completely

Hello everyone, our Dyson V11 has been having massive problems for a few weeks now. It suddenly went out and discharged the battery completely, so that it was defective and could not be revived even in the charging station. We then bought a new battery and the vacuum cleaner now works sporadically. Nevertheless, despite sufficient remaining runtime, the vacuum cleaner simply goes out again and the battery is completely drained again. We then have to fully charge it again so that we can vacuum for 5 minutes and then start all over again. If the vacuum cleaner is left in a corner, it also discharges completely after around 5-6 hours. I suspect that an electrical part is faulty. It's obviously not the battery, could it be the pole or the suction foot?

Customer service is no longer a priority

When I first started purchasing Dyson products, customer service was a Dyson strength. I found the agents helpful and felt they wanted to resolve my issue. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. I purchased a V15 last year. Shortly after that the company I purchased it from was bought out and my order history disappeared. The only receipt I had was a credit card receipt but they won’t provide warranty support because it doesn’t show the vacuum model. I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get service. I then contacted them to try and get replacement wheels ($1.99 on their website). They were out of stock and the guy said I should just buy a new Motörhead for $129.00. I’ve probably purchased my last Dyson product at this point.

BP03 Big and Quiet serial number missing

I got my BP03 back from repair and it was no longer working on the app so I read to delete it and set it up again. But it couldn’t find the machine with either the manual entry or by searching for it.The repair text sent me instructions to find the serial number on the LCD screen but the serial number isn’t set so I’m guessing that’s why it can’t find it.  It’s registered and I called in to support and was sent a link to a YouTube video that didn’t seem to really apply. Can I reset the serial number myself somehow?

Frustration for parents of child with cancer

I'm not looking for any solution, I just wanted to vent because I'm so frustrated with dyson products and their customer service. Thank you in advance for reading this.I bought my dyson cordless vacuum when my 21 months old son was diagnosed with Leukemia on April because we have to keep the house clean due to him being immune compromised when he gets strong chemo. I thought a vacuum with a good Hepa filter would be perfect.But we had a little problem with a main part so I contacted the costumer service on July.  Even though, the part was out of stock, I decided to wait for the part because exchange didn't work for our situation. We have to clean the house everyday for my child so how could we send my current one and wait for the new one with indefinite timeline? Also I didn't feel right about buying a temporary vacuum after purchasing over 500$ dyson vacuum. It's been over 3months so far. I haven't received any email yet about the part being stock so I contacted customer service again
