my dyson app new uptade make navigation worst


With the new update, they have removed an element that makes the application irritating to use. Before you could swipe from right to left or right to change from one device to another, now it takes two clicks to change. It's not a lot of clicks, but day to day it has an impact. In the new menu, we only have the choice to click on the top right to return to the list of devices. Clicking on my products at the bottom doesn't even show us the list when we are on a device. In the application's update note, they indicated: improved navigation. It's quite the opposite.

Any navigation change within an app may take a little time to get used to. As you’ve mentioned, rather than swiping left and right between your registered machines, you can now access the My Products menu using the ‘back’ arrow in the top left-hand corner of the screen:

Precisely this is the problem of having to click on the arrow to see the list of devices. The application becomes unusable with one hand for a right-handed person. (so most of the time we don't have our two hands available in life). If at least clicking on the my products tab returned us to the list of our products, it would solve the problem of one-handed use. Remove the swipe functionality is simply a retrogression of the application and not a matter of habit because we have to get used to using the application in a way that is less fast.

This simple change makes me less want to use the application.

The new update just makes it harder and longer to switch from one machine to another.  I have 4 pure air’ on my app.  Swiping left and right was so much easier.  I even knew what order they were in.  New app update is a complete disappointment.  It’s not about getting used to the new way of doing it when the new way requires more effort and time to navigate to the same place.  I have two pure air down stairs and one in each of the bedrooms.  It’s so much easier to swipe left and right to see how smoking downstairs also affects air quality upstairs.

I totally agree. The decision to remove edge swiping between devices makes my use of the Dyson app a minor but daily annoyance. A premium product like Dyson should create a better user experience that this.
