My V 11 is 5 months out of Warranty today.

Yesterday when I tried to use it I pulled the trigger and nothing happened.

I have followed all the self help steps.

It show fully charged and the display is on.

There are no blockages and filter is clean.

Trigger works because it turns on display.

Five months out of warranty what are my options?

NOTE TO ADMIN. I tried to submit this earlier so if both came through sorry.

@JRS. The cordless cleaners are complicated, but usually easy to fix. They’d either replace the battery, the handle (Main Body) or both.

This is most likely a failure of the PCB (Power Control Board) board or another electrical component in the handle. I’d consider starting with replacing that part. To make sure you order the correct part, visit their How to: Order spare parts and accessories | Dyson Community post.

The other option is to call Dyson, have them diagnose it remotely. Either way, it will cost you.

@JRS. If you’re still within the 2-year warranty, they’ll replace the part for free.

If not, it will set you back about £80. You’ll have to buy the main body & cyclone. It looks like they sell two types, depending on the battery you own. Screw of click.

Jay.
