new dyson G1 hard floor cleaner not working

Hi

I am very disappointed just purchased a new hard floor G1 cleaner from Dyson on line 
First use machine is asking me to empty dirty water tank every 15 seconds I clean the tank and put it back then  it dose the same again is this a common problem?????
I have no idea why a brand new machine dose this I am very upset and hope this will be solved quickly
