Hello,
I recently had my Dyson hoover repaired and was using it today for the first time since getting it back. There’s not a bad sound coming from it but there is bad strong smell, almost like melting plastic that can be smelt throughout the house. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

That doesn’t sound right..
If you’ve not done so already, I’d urge you to stop using the machine and to contact Dyson as soon as possible.
The most direct way to contact Dyson is to use the telephone service. Here one of our tem will be happy to discuss the next steps. To do this, simply click on our Guides and manuals link, navigate to the ‘Contact us’ section of the page and start a WhatsApp conversation.

Burning/melting plastic smell. Usually motor failure. I’d switch it off any call Dyson.
