Red rubber inner ring and plastic ring fell out of dust collector when I emptied it.

Machine seems to still work. What does these rings do and are they important?

@T944  Those rings are going to create the airtight seal for the best performance overall on your machine. If you notice a performance drop, or debris not staying in the bin - please contact support for a replacement bin.

To do this, simply click on our Dyson Support  link, navigate to the ‘Support' section of the page and scroll down to the ‘Contact us’ section, selecting ‘Start a conversation’.

Thanks Adam,

Took over an hour to get through to Dyson but they are sending me a new dust unit. Fingers crossed it arrives soon as I’ve just moved house and it is filthy!
