Introducing the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer Flyaway smoother

Great news! The latest attachment for the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, the Flyaway smoother is now available in the US.

The Flyaway smoother has a rotating mechanism that allows for a multi-functional styling tool. With two styling modes in one attachment. To switch modes, simply rotate the end cap of the attachment until you hear an audible ‘click’ sound.

Please note, this Dyson Flyaway smoother is not compatible with the Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer, or the Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer.

Style modes

Smoothing mode

Coanda airflow attracts hair to the surface of the brush. Air is then propelled along the hair strands for a smooth, straighter style.

Flyaway mode

Switch modes to focus the Coanda airflow and lift longer hairs to the front, hiding flyaways below.

Use on dry hair for a shiny finish.

Please note. The Flyaway smoother is part of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer offering in certain countries. Please check your local Dyson website for the latest information.

Feel goods.after used my hair is soft

Is this available for the professional supersonic hairdryer or only the other model. Mine came with the smoother attachment but doesn’t include the brush.

Thanks for your question - the Dyson Flyaway smoother attachment is compatible with the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer Professional edition.

Please note, it’s not compatible with the Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer, or the Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer.

Will this be available for the Nural?

I made the mistake of buying a Flyaway smoother from the US for my Nural in Australia.

The US web site says in the Q and A

“Is the Flyaway smoother attachment compatible with all versions of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, including older machines?

Yes, the Flyaway smoother is compatible with all previous versions of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer.”

But it doesn't fit the Nural.

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

To confirm, the existing Flyaway smoother and Wide-tooth comb attachments aren’t compatible with the new Dyson Supersonic Nural hair dryer. They won’t be able to connect with the machine due to the placement of the sensor and illumination capsule within the barrel of the Dyson Supersonic Nural.

I don’t currently have any information on an equivalent Flyaway smoother for the Dyson Supersonic Nural but I’ll keep the Dyson Community updated if there’s any news.
