I understand you've implemented this to keep you aware of surroundings
that reason is why, in my opinion, they won't release an update or even consider it.
just think - someone has noise-cancelling on, listening to music in a busy downtown city at lunchtime. they get a call, answer the call and, with noise-cancelling on, they dont hear a car horn or a bike horn or some other sound to alert them to something about to cross their path and BOOM… the person using these headphones get hurt. they then sue Dyson for not being able to hear their surrounding whilst on a call.
so you (and others no doubt) don't like this. Luckily for you there are other headphones you can use or, just remove the headphones entirely and take the call.
first world problems…
Hi @Hzone,
Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here.
As you’ve mentioned, this has been raised previously by other owners:
Beyond this we don’t have any further information to add at this time, but we’ll be happy to pass your comments along to the right people for you!

Ok I understand what you're saying, however here is my counter argument:
Noise cancelling is still an option when streaming music, what's to say this same car accident from the unheard horn happens whilst walking down the street listening to drum & bass with noise cancelling on at the same time? Would this still be Dyson's fault?
Surely it is down to the user to be responsible and aware of their surroundings whether they are on a phone call, listening to music or listening to an audiobook.
They could implement a feature so that noise cancelling is automatically turned off upon entering a phone call but user should have the choise to switch noise cancelling back on, mid call, and it is therefore there responsibility to be aware of noise and personal voice levels. There could be an in-app warning
My god! @ernables, stop trolling people who have issues with these headphones! They may be perfect for you, but some of us would like them to suit our needs. What do you have against ANC on calls?
