Dyson Ball

I have had enough problems with this Dyson Ball… 1st you CANNOT vacuum any carpets with it, 2nd now the brush will not work… I am very disappointed with this vacuum… Was told there is nothing better than a Dyson… I’m sorry i paid over $300 for this pile… Won’t buy another...

Dc17 cleaning wand - Where to buy replacements

I have a dc17 animal vacuum I purvis many years ago that is still working great,  the only problem is the red tip on the cleaning wand has gone missing.  Any ideas on how to using my tools with the cleaning wand or where I can find such a specific part?

Multifloor 2, no suction in hose

My Dyson Multi floor 2 works great on carpet and floors. I have absolutely no suction through the house when trying to use the attachments. I have taken the machine apart, cleaned the filters, removed blockages. Nothing hads worked. What else can I do?

Dyson Upright Animal Small Ball Head not Spinning

Hi FolksI have a Dyson Animal Small Ball. The head does not spin. I press the relevant button and there is the slightest amount of movement and the accompanying noise (very briefly) but the brush bar does not spin. I have tried to "egg" it on, by manually rotating and pressing the button but it's not playing (small)ball.I've unhooked it and cannot see any obvious blockage or anything stopping the brush bar from spinning. I also don't think it's anything to do with the wiring because the head does "activate" for a second.Any help is very welcomed. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)

Animal 3 wand handle vs DC07

I had a Dyson all floors DC07 and when I wanted to use the wand to vacuum hard floors it would flip around and there would be a handle to use. My new Dyson animal 3 does not seem to do this and when I try to vacuum hard floors have to practically hold on to hose. It doesn’t seem right. Is there a handle part or attachment that I don’t have? Or an extension to the wand so I’m not bending over so far to vacuum hard floors? Thanks. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)

DC50 retaining springs, please help!

Hi guys,I have a DC50 and recently tried to replace the changer hose. I got the old perished one out and the new one in ok, but can’t for the life of me remember how the springs go back on.I may have stretched them out of shape too.Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial or youtube video or the like with some instructions on how to get these back in? Alternately, maybe someone would post a photo of their DC50 with the springs shown clearly. Thanks in advance.

Advice WANTED - I have a 12 + year old Dyson, should I repair or replace??

Lose of suction, took apart to clean and inspect found the internal hose within the ball showed 3 cracks in the small amount that is visible. You can only see once machine is turned over. My Dyson is 12 plus yrs old. I can not fix problem by myself so would need to find a service place or send back.  Is it worth to get fixed? Or should I just buy a new one? I’m concerned if I get it fixed will I continue to need replacement because of age of machine? Dyson Cinetic Bin - Bleed valve/ suction port

I acquired Corded Cinetic Big Ball Vacuum. On Canister assembly at top there is a “port” which when running I can feel suction at.What is purpose of that port, is it just an air intake and should I hear noise (suction noise) at that port? Pretty sure vacuum is operating properly but just not certain

DC19 vs Big Ball Multi Floor 2 - Which should I keep?

Hi everyone!I’ve had a DC19db for 10 years, and it’s been great. But I’ve just been given a Big Ball Multi Floor 2. I’ve only got space to keep one. On paper, it looks like the DC19 is *slightly* better (280w vs 250w, for example). But the new one is, well, newer. The motor’s probably in better shape, and technology has probably advanced between models. So I’m not sure which one to keep. Any advice? (Moderation edit - Tags Added)

Dc28 changeover hose availability

I have always thought that dyson was a little over priced but I do like the products.  To find out that dyson no longer feels compelled to stock wear and tear items like the changeover valve hose has really made me think I will no longer recommend this company. I didn't realize I was buying a disposable vacuum for that kinda price.   (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Converted to Question)

Dyson V10 vacume cleaner is useless

Hello I have had a Dyson V10 vacume cleaner now for 6 months and it is useless. Can not pick up a piece of grass or a small rock or a bit of sand or even a small screw. What good is a vacuum if it can not vacuum an clean the house. I'm not satisfied an the price I feel ripped off. I do not recommend this vacuum for anyone.

Retired Dyson DC15 Allergy - Where can I purchase parts?

Hi, I have a Dyson DC15 allergy (white ball), and it stopped working.I have checked all the wiring but found the armature of the main motor was covered with carbon (so no connection) and also the main carbon brushed were worn one more than other. So, I cleaned the armature, and the vacuum cleaner works now. I need to replace new brushes, but unable to find the brushes for DC15 on the internet. Also called Dyson and they were unable to help and did not want to give me the part number.Can anyone help where i could purchase a replacement brushed for the main motor and for the brush motor.  (Moderation edit - Category/Title updated)

From Number One Fan to Won't Recommend New Vacuum Cleaner

My last Dyson was a DC25.  I absolutely loved this vacuum cleaner, and I made a point to share this fact with many of my friends, coworkers, pet owners and business associates over the years!  When it was time to replace it, I didn’t even think twice about what brand of vacuum cleaner I was going to replace it with.  The new technology that had no filters was appealing, so I waited and waited for the supply chains issues to resolve, so I could get my new Dyson Cinetic Big Ball (animal + allergy).  I can’t even begin to express my EXTREME disappointment in this vacuum cleaner.  I have move from number one fan to I now telling people don’t waste your money on a Dyson.  I’m very disappointed.  I wanted to speak e-mail a customer representative or speak with a live person, but they don’t make it easy.  Here is a brief recap of what I’m disappointed with: The “wand” handle is difficult to slide in and out.  It comes apart and doesn’t push back in place easily.  Cheap construction. Upright vacuum DC55 - Real world problems

i had a DC05 which gave 15 years reliable service, and was only retired when an enthusiastic teenager dropped it down the stairs and the handle snapped off. Even then it briefly served as a dust extractor for a table saw. No complaints. It made me a Dyson advocate, for life I thought.To replace it, only another Dyson was considered.A DC55 seemed the logical choice in 2018.Cleaning power - awesome, as you’d expect.👍long-term useability, not so much. 😪Has anyone else found the following niggles, or di get a dud?sliding the red ‘wand’ back into the handle - unreliable. sometimes it does not want to slot in. frustrating opening the bottom of the dust bin with the button on top. after 6 months, just fails. now the handle lifts up more than the button goes down. Needs manual assistance. Motorbar cleaning head -great. the thin gap for the dust to be sucked up into? not so good. Too narrow, easily clogged by even a small amount of hair which then just limits everything after. Frequent unbloc

Dyson DC20 Animal - Turbine Head Attachment

HiOur DC20 Stowaway Turbine Head has become very rattly and inefficient. I took it apart but couldn’t see anything obviously wrong. As this model isn’t supported anymore I was wondering if anyone could please tell me what replacements there are that would work with my DC20 and is there also some sort of adapter I would need to get it to attach? The model number of the head is 906565-30 which I eventually found on the Dyson site. It’s out of stock (although there is one on ebay for £150 + £20 P&P!!!). Upright vacuum cleaner - Ball Animal 2 - Brush Bar Not Spinning on one side (left, shorter side).

I’ve looked on several different sites and Youtube videos on what could be going on, but can’t quite seem to figure this out.  I’ve been able to remove the cleaner head, removed hair from brush, and cleaned the electrical sensors, but the left side of the brush bar still won’t spin when running.When it’s off, I’ve noticed the left side spins almost too easily.  When compared to the right side, which works properly and has a “tighter” spin to it when spinning manually while off, the left side just spins around too easily almost as if it’s not attached properly.  Not sure how else to explain it really but I’ve tried everything I can find and it’s still not working.  The one step I couldn’t complete was removing the brush bar entirely.  According the directions I found a T10 torx should work to remove the 4 screws still holding the brush on, but I couldn’t get those off even with a T10.  Kinda stuck (no pun intended). (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)

Upright vacuum part out of stock - Help

I have a Dyson upright vaccuum sn JN2-US-GDA4139A. for 6 months I have been trying to buy a replacement power nozzle. All I get is currently out of stock. I have checked the box for email an email update with no response. I have also done an online chat. I was told that a different replacement part, Part no. 970340-01, would fit and is in stock. Good idea having models colour differentiated ….. unless the one you have falls between two colours (either sun bleached or natural variation). I have either a 40 or a 41 and want to be sure which when ordering spares

Impressed with my Dyson upright DC40SPOTLIGHTED POST

Hi All,Wanted to share a good news story - we have recently moved back into our house that we’ve been renting out for the past 18 months and it seems that the tenants weren’t familiar with the fact that you need to empty the vacuum after use so our Dyson DC40 had the best part of 18 months of dirt in it.Not only was it was easy to clean out but I turned it on initially without checking and it was still sucking up dirt - very impressive considering the state of the internals. I attach a photo of what we emptied out.10/10 to Dyson on this one for making a pretty much indestructible machine.

Upright ball animal 3 - Low profile attachment

With the dyson animal ball 3 there is no attachment to clean under the bed etc. I phoned dyson to see if I could buy and use the ‘flat out head tool’ that originally comes with the multi floor option and they didn’t know and just said to purchase it and see, but it’s not showing as available now.The ball animal 2 came with a low profile cleaning head. That’s what I’m after something low to get under the beds. But I don’t know what will fit or if there are any work arounds like 3rd party attachments or adapters.thanks (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)

Dyson Ball Animal Pro+ - Brush bar help

I’ve been very happy with how well the vacuum works but there’s some definite design issues that need attention.After a few uses I do the needful of cleaning the brush bar of little bits of string and hair that build up. This is the standard process documented in the user manual. Fast forward a few years and the beater bar stopped working. I did not see any hair on the beater bar but it did not even move. Still under warranty, I brought to a store for inspection. The tech came out 10 min later with a brand new head and then showed me the inside of the old head. It was super clogged inside the head with hair. The only way to get into the head is to remove screws; pull out the brush bar(s).Since I want my head to live longer I go through this process of dismantling the head to pull out all the hair (got two women in the house with long hair) about once a month. It’s just really infuriating that a device called “Animal” can’t deal with hair plugging up the insides. And yes, there’s always
