V10 Cordless - Broken trigger, body service area in the way

We have a dyson stick v10 pet (SV12) we bought at costco about 5 years back. Figure its outside the service warranty wanted to take a crack at it.The vacuum recently started working intermittently. Depressing the trigger at juuust the right angle would turn on and operate normally, but otherwise nothing would happen and the battery lights were off. Looks like it might be a broken trigger. The problem is that one of the phillips screws in the motor housing is stripped. It’s a tight area so I can only get the the narrow hand screwdriver in there. Depressing the screwdriver and turning it feels like its slipping.Has anyone had success getting something out of that tight area? I’ve love this vacuum and it’s been pretty easy to use. Replacing the battery was a breeze and it’s been great with all our pets and working from home. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! The culprit below

Stair Tool for DC15 Detect +. Is there an equivalent?

Our Dyson DC20 Stowaway Animal comes with a “Stair Tool” (Part no. 906960-11) that works very well.  An equivalent “stair tool” doesn’t appear to have been included with our DC15 Detect + Cordless. I also couldn’t find one on the Dyson website. So we have been using the High Torque cleaner head (with middle tube removed from the cleaner) instead.The High Torque is a bit big for this job. So I wonder if there is a stair tool like the one for the DC20 available for the DC15 Detect +? (Moderation Edit - Tags Added)

Cordless V7 - failed motorised head - how long should they last?

V7.First one lasted 9 months and stopped spinning.Replaced under warranty.10 months later the new one has failed - it spins for about 5 seconds then stops.  I have taken off the brush head so there is no blockage - I'm looking straight at the grey spindle thing that spins.Since I own two V7s I know it is not the vacuum itself - just the motors in the heads that fail.What is the expected working life for one of these?

Dyson Nautik™ - Wet to Dry Cleaner

Hi everyone. A family illness meant that I took a leave of absence. Thankfully they’ve recovered to the point that I have some free time. And yes, where better to spend it then here… Did anyone see Dyson launched a Wet to Dry cleaner? I completely missed the launch of it in China.Dyson Nautik - Dyson V12 Detect Slim Nautik™ Scrubber Vacuum I for one, believe this is a ambitious, but logical development step for Dyson.I hope they release the cleaning attachment as a single purchase in Europe soon. Pete.

Cordless Vacuum - Out of Warranty repair cost

My Dyson wireless vacuum cleaner just died after 2 years. Worst part is I went to Dyson Singapore service Center and within less than a minute, the service person said “the motor is spoiled. It will cost me $218”. No other option. The lifespan is 2 years. I need to find my receipt as they would assume it’s over warranty if you can’t produce receipt.I spent 35 minutes to drive there, $3 car park and was attended for a minute. why will I pay over $200 for a motor. Now I just want to see the accessories of my vacuum cleaner as they’re never used.

Dyson Cordless - Charging Issue

I purchase a Dyson Vacuumon 4 April 2023.  It has stopped charging- I reckon a couple of days ago.  I was just told that they cannot do returns or  refunds as it is out of the 14 day period.  They will collect and repair.  BUT-  after spending HK$3850-  do I really want a product that stopped working after such a short period???  I intend telling everyone I know to avoid this product.

Accessories for the Dyson Cordless V7

Hi, I checked out the accessories list and want a low adapter and high adapter to use with my V7. Problem is will it fit my V7? Dyson Cordless V11 - Replacement Big Bin Assembly 970050-01v stock problem in Turkey

My V 11 Absolute SV 11 Dust  Bin Canister Ring was broken and after a video call with the Customer’s services, I was told to buy  new dust bin. Unfortunately, customers services said that there were no stocks and they have no idea about the arrival date. And in Turkey Dyson customers services are the only providers for spare parts. After a quick search on the net I realized that there are many people who have been waiting for the same spare for 4 months in Turkey.  Such a frustration and disappointment. I even checked uk website and the 3rd parties websites suggested by Dyson UK. No luck. The dust bin is not available. So I have a Dyson which I cannot use and I have no idea when I can ever use it again. Where can I get a replacement Bin? ,

SV11 (V7) Pulsing on trigger pull - Suggestions welcome

Hi I have a SV11 which fully charges but when I press the power trigger it pulsates and cuts out anf the back in but is not cleaning the carpet/floor I have cleaned all the operating tools and the filter but no change The machine is not over used but has been doing this for sometime Help please..  (Moderation Edit - Title Updated/Tags Added)

v6 making alarm noise on charge now not working.

As per title. I used my V6 and went to put on charge only to be met with an alarm noise rather than the blue light. It will now not work at all and has stopped making alarm noise

Dyson stick vacuum v7 compatibility

Hi, I already have a Dyson v7 Animal with mounted wall charger and various heads and attachments. I'm wondering if the V7 Absolute is compatible with the wall mounted charger and heads etc that I already have.  I hear the v7 Absolute hasn't got a wall mounted charger or many attachments. If I buy the Absolute... I'd like to charge them both with the same wall mounted charger and use all of the attachments from the v7 Animal, of course. Thank you for your help. Regards, Natalie

Separating the docking charger on the Dyson V10

How do i separate the backing from the docking charger to enable it to be secured to the wall. We recently purchased a Dyson animal V10 and watched many youtube videos to see if any showed me how to separate them.

Dyson V11 Motorhead Replacement? Do we have an estimate for how long we have to wait for despatch?

I am based in New Zealand and have a V11 Outsize stick vacuum. It was purchased in August 2021 and is still under warranty. I’ve been told that there are no replacements in stock and that I have to wait an undetermined amount of time. Could someone please give me an idea as to whether it’s going to be days, weeks, months or years? Feeling really dismayed by how little information I was able to get from Dyson Support. I felt brushed off. I requested a call back from a manager but I never heard anything.  Has anyone had a positive experience with actually receiving a replacement head for their V11 Outsize? My machine is fairly useless without this attachment.

Ordering for next day delivery - This is simply not true!

I ordered my v15 absolute plus with an additional part before 8:00 and was offered an afternoon slot next day. Today is 13th and I still haven't received it. I rang 11th in the evening support to chase the delivery only to be told that this is not true indeed. How bizarre! And my wife took a day off to wait for delivery all day! Such a waste of time. This is very wrong I said -- the lady on the phone promised to get back to me next morning, which never happened. This does not look promising for the whole experience with the Dyson products I bought. Very discouraging. Not happy.

Dyson V11 Absolute - Power Issue

To whom it may concirn,We have a Dyson V11 Absolute vaccum cleaner which has served us well for the past couple of years but we are disappointed this machine has completely failed after just 3 years of very little use.The machines started to fail last week with the display not powering so I was unable to change any settings followed by a total failure this week. The machine does nothing except flash the blue leds ten times then nothing.For a machine thats claiming a ten year working life this machine has fallen very short of that. We have used the machine approx 2 to 3 times a month so that would equate to around 120 uses of the machine, we have had other vaccums that lasted much longer than that.We would like your advise on whats the best way to resolve this issue and are hopefull there will be an agreeable outcome to this claim.

Parts not in stock for Dyson Outsize - I need a new bin

I have a Dyson Outsize- barely had it a year and a piece within the bin broke.  I called to get it replaced and have a case created- but they have no ETA on when they will get the part.  I haven’t been able to use my vacuum in 2 months.  I keep checking still not in stock.  It’s ridiculous that I have a pretty new vaccine and no way to use it and the agent didn’t care when I tried to push the issue.  I can’t find an after market bin.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Not sure I will get another dyson if you can’t even repair items under warranty.  At this rate it will be out of warranty before parts are in stock.  Very frustrated. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Category Updated)

Using my EU Bought Dyson V10 in the US

Hi! I am moving to the US in August from Spain where I bought my Dyson in Sep 2021. Can I buy a charger there for V100/V120 and use it on my current EU battery or should I buy a battery in the US and then the matching charger? Hope one of these ways work to get my machine to work in the US (I can’t live without it)!

Does anybody have a clue When cleaner heads and wands come back in stock in the USA market? I've been waiting for 2 months. And it seems not only my problem. Does Dyson want me to order not original garbage for use? My dog destroyed the original wand and brush. And now Im using 50$ Chinese vacuum cleaning up my house, watching on my V11 and don't understand why I bought this thing.

Orders Help - Missing Part

on 3-28-2023 we contacted dyson as the v15detect we received was missing a part. after being told an order was placed and told we would receive in 2-7 days. A week later no notice of shipment. Placed call and was told it would be on the way and we would get notice in 2 days about shipment. 5 days later no notice. Call placed and helpful man,rick, looked into and was told part out of stock with no expected date of available. We spent over $800 and are very displeased with process.

Is the hand grip of your cordless vacuum to small for your hands?

I am a man 185 cm tall who wears size 8 surgical gloves (this is a large size).I find that the hand grip of our cordless vacuum is quite thin, causing my fingers to cramp in use.The thin hand grip makes it harder to manipulate the heavy machine. Has Dyson sought advice from hobologists (people who study the design of handles) to consider a way to provide larger hand grips for those who need them?

Order Request - No follow up email or support!

I submitted a request and went through the steps to get a new battery for my v8 animal and even received an email saying that “. Please allow up to 2 hours for an email confirmation. A separate tracking email will follow after this one.” That was send on March 11th. It is now over 3 weeks later and I still haven’t received anything more from Dyson. No tracking. No follow up email. Nothing. Do I need to try to do this again or what? I can’t say as I am impressed with this type of customer service at all. (Edited by moderator - Tags added/Title Updated)
