Issue with Dyson Airwrap purchased in the UK

I am experiencing an issue with my Dyson Airwrap which keeps cutting out whilst I am using it, which is obviously very frustrating as I then can’t finish styling my hair.  I haven’t had it long and it is still under warranty.  I don’t use it very often but it has been doing this from the beginning.  At first I thought it was a one off but I know now that it isn’t.  I clean the filter all the time so that is not the cause so I know that it must be faulty. Today I rang Dyson Customer Service and explained everything to them.  They told me that the Airwrap needs to be sent away for repair.  The first day that this could be done would be this coming Wednesday.  All okay so far.  However, they could not give me any indication, at all, of what time of day the pick up would be - it could be any time, which means I would have to stay in all day waiting for it.  Unfortunately I just can’t do that as all of my days are pretty busy so I am left with a faulty Airwrap under warranty that I can’t ma

HELP please - impossible customer service

My dyson supersonic hairdryer stopped working and I contacted Dyson who arranged for a repair at a cost of £100 which I paid via the online chat.  DPD courier collected my machine and I was update via email when it arrived at Dyson, Engineer fixed machine with a report advising that the filter was blocked and the machine was now fully working and on its way back to me.  Parcel arrived and unfortunately it was not my hairdryer but an airwrap that was in the package.  I called customer service and was advised that my hairdryer was “lost” and they would need to escalate to complaint and I would receive a call back within 24-72 hours.  Nobody ever contacted me within the timescale.  I called again and was advised they would sent me a replacement but it had to be from the “refurbished” range.  My specific colour of hairdryer is not available on refurbished website and I dont like the colours that are available so asked if I could pay the difference to have a new model as that is in stock in

Awful Delivery and Customer Sevice

I ordered the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer for it to arrive on Saturday the 15th. Three days after the original delivery date and I still dont even have an email to say it has been dispatched. After two online customer service chats and two phone calls I still have no updates on when the order will be sent I keep getting told it has been expedited but no date that it will be sent or delivered.Really disappointing service for such an expensive product.

Exchanged faulty airwrap - Different coloured attachments received

I have received an exchange for my faulty Airwrap. While I appreciate the prompt service, I am unhappy with the attachments that came with the new device. Unlike my previous model, which had Prussian blue attachments, the new attachments are different (grey coloured) and, in my opinion, look cheap.During my phone conversation with the representative, I was not informed that the new attachments would not be the same as my old ones. This discrepancy has left me quite disappointed.I noticed that the Prussian blue attachments can be purchased online separately. However it is unfair for me to purchase attachments i already had with my old model. Lost/Stolen Package

Hello,I recently purchased a Dyson Airwrap as a gift for my girlfriend, but the entire process has turned into a nightmare.The shipment company, PostNL, delivered the package to someone without my knowledge while I was at work and even forged my signature. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue with PostNL, they directed me to Dyson. When I contacted Dyson customer service, they cited a statement from PostNL claiming, "The delivery person rang the bell downstairs in the flat, and the customer said to the delivery person: 'You can leave the package downstairs and I will pick it up myself.'” Dyson accepted this statement without question.I'm at a loss for what to do next. Should I go to the police and file a report for a stolen shipment and forgery?It feels like Dyson is not taking responsibility for their customer deliveries...Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

4 month old Supersonic Pro Stops Working Mid-dry/All Lights Flash

Hello. Can anyone help? This $500 hair dryer is 4 months old. It will randomly turn itself off and then all lights flash. Dyson is telling me they can’t refund me, which I think is wrong give them hairdryer is only 4 months old. Anyone else have this issue? The machine is new and regularly cleaned and stored in its case when not in use, and only I am using it with my husband occasionally using it, so it’s not as if it is getting over-used.  Anyone else in this boat? Pretty frustrating for something that was so expensive, and is basically brand new.

Hi guys, Is there any chance to wait for a restock of the ceramic pink Dyson Airwrap in The Netherlands? I'm debating whether to wait a bit more or to just buy the available one, but I really really wanted the ceramic pink. I saw a similar post but it was from two months ago - a lot of time for a limited edition product's life span. Thank you in advance!

As Spain has the same voltage as the UK can I use my UK airstrait there ? Obviously I'll be using an adapter as the pins on the plugs are different though.  Thanks

Faulty straighteners

I purchased the Dyson Corrale straightener and just before the warranty ran out they no longer held their charge, I contacted Dyson who sent me a new pair but with only the remaining 1month of the warranty. A year on and the same thing has happened again, they are no longer holding their charge. I can have them repaired for £100 but who is to say the same thing wont happen again.Looking at the community pages this is a reoccurring problem with the straighteners. I think it is disgusting that Dyson are still selling these knowing that there is obviously a fault with their batteries, at £400 a pair I would expect better workmanship. I definitely  would not buy Dyson again and something needs to be done about the fact that they are basically ripping people off

Why can't the battery in a Corrale be replaced?

The battery in my Corrale hair straightener is failing to hold its charge. I went to Dyson in John Lewis to buy the new AirStraightener (out of stock) and was told Dyson would repair my Corrale for £99. I went home and ordered the AirStraightener directly from Dyson, along with a new hair dryer and new Corrale straightener so they all match (why oh why, Dyson, can’t you keep a plain white option?). I called Dyson the next day to discuss a repair for my old Corrale and was told that the battery can’t be replaced, but they could discount a new model. Unfortunately, I had already paid for everything so a discount wasn't going to help. It seems really odd to me that such an expensive item cannot have a battery replaced (even iPhones can have new batteries). Why is this? If Dyson thinks it's okay to just throw these items away after a couple of years use, maybe the pricing needs to reflect this, instead of being over-the-top premium. P.S. The new Corrale stand is really flimsy.

Upselling, the Lost Dyson, broken promises and no way to complain...

My tale of woe seems a far too familiar story on here.  Poor customer service is now the standard Dyson seem to deliver.  What's worse, (and quite sad) is that someone at Dyson seems to have made it impossible to complain. My tale starts when my wifes trusty hair straighteners stopped holding a charge.  They are 4 years old, so I thought it was a fair ask of Dyson to ask £200 to repair them.  Once they arrived at Dyson HQ they discovered that they were unrepairable…..  And that the only solution was to buy a new set for another £100.  OK, so it is obvisuly upselling, but again I thought a new set for £300 seemed okish.  Dyson then posted a new set to my address in London.  However, they never arrived.  Parcel Force say we were not in, (we were) and so took them back to depot a few times.  After a few failed deliveries I asked Parcel Force to take them to our local Post Office, which is where the Tracking System says they are.  However, they are not there.  Bit odd, so last week I spoke

Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer Stopped Working

Hi, I have a Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer, which is still in warranty (purchased Oct 2022) and it has just completely stopped working  It shows 3 flashing white lights. I've read the troubleshooting page and cleaned the filter (NB: which I do regularly anyway), but this has made no difference at all.  It still won't work at all. Has anyone else had this problem and can suggest how to resolve it? Thanks

Curls on Chemically straightened hair

HI All,I recently purchased Dyson airwrap as i bored with my chemically straightened hair.I got my hair straightened.As soon as i curl my hair they un- curl themselves and become straight again.I used mouse and setting spray as well. But nothing works.Is it that the airwrap does not work on chemically treated hair?

NEW hair dryer shuts off and blinks red

I just received my Dyson supersonic hair dryer for Mother’s Day, which was less than a month ago. The first time I used it, it randomly shut off and the red lights started blinking. This hasn’t happened in a while, but today I dried my hair and it happened 4 times. This started happening when it was brand new & I only wash my hair maybe twice/week, so I’ve only used it about 8 times. There is no way the filter is dirty. It’s also plugged in directly to the wall, not a power strip. Any ideas? Has anyone had this same problem with their new hair dryer? I feel like I should have Googled reviews before requesting this. 😑

Repair Options for Supersonic

Hi,I contacted support via chat an phone and each time they have told me I cannot have my hair dryer shipped to the repair center even though the website clearly states to call Dyson Customer Service to have them send a label to ship out product for repair. The nearest repair center is two hours away. That is absurd to send a customer to drive four hrs. roundtrip to repair a $400 product that first of all, should never have malfunctioned; as expensive as it is. This product is 2.5 years old and I have been on top of maintenance since owning it. This should have never happened and I am extremely disappointed with the poor quality and horrible customer service.So is it true? Is my only repair option to drive 2 hrs o the service center to have my dryer repaired?

Hair Dryer Stopped

I’ve owned a Dyson hair dryer for 2 years and 6 months and it stopped working in the middle of using it. I had it on less than 3 minutes so it wasn’t overheated. I called and was told to take it to a service center (45 min. away) which I did. Waited in line for 45 min. and finally someone worked on it for less than 10 minutes, didn’t tell me what was wrong just said it couldn’t be fixed. I have taken care of this hair tool like it’s a baby. I don’t even travel with it in fear of it being stolen and to prevent unnecessary wear and tear. To buy something for this price point, for it to last for 2.5 years, and not even reparable when you don’t even know what the problem was is a disgrace to this company. It should be a full refund and nothing less. It sounds like I am not alone with this dilemma.  BTW, the amount of people in the service center getting vacuums repaired leads me to believe I will not be purchasing one of those anytime soon.

My air wrap is only working intermittently- turns on and off as I use it

My airwrap starts to turn on and off immediately after I plug it in. I have:Cleaned the filter numerous times. I have even unscrewed the bottom portion that the filter covers to make sure there wasn’t any hair in it.  Tried different outlets. Still doesn’t work It’s not due to overheating since it only stays on for seconds There is no flashing red light, which indicates that the filter needs to be cleanedOnline technical support was absolutely unhelpful. They ran through the list of troubleshooting steps that I have tried numerous times. The only option left was to take it to a center that is 8 hours away! I live south of Raleigh, NC, and I cannot believe that the closest center is that far away. This isn’t a viable option for me.I am absolutely frustrated at the customer service quality and the options available to get such an expensive machine to be fixed. Somebody help :(

Attempting to Return Item before I leave to travel

Hi,I recently ordered a machine that I realized wouldn’t work in other countries*. So now I have to return it.I will be traveling exactly 5 days from now. So the day I realized the issue (1 day after receipt of the machine) ~ a week ago, I submitted the online return form. Someone got back to me, I responded and answered each question they asked. And they disappeared despite many follow-ups.So I submitted the form again. The same thing happened but with a different person. So here, now, I find myself in your public forums.Is it not your responsibility to ensure adequate customer service despite offshoring it? It’s frustrating that Dyson does not have a place to rate this service either. Dyson Airstrait sets off Dyson air purifier

Everytime I use the air strait, even on completely dry mode, my Dyson air purifier shows purple/red.Doesn't happen when I use my Dyson supersonic or any other hair heat tools. Any clue what this emission is? Should we be concerned about health risks?
