Pause detect The Dyson Supersonic Nural™ hair dryer’s motion sensing accelerometer detects when you’ve paused styling and put it down. It switches off the heater and reduces airflow to ultra-low flow to reduce unnecessary noise without you having to turn off the machine. It’s never easy justifying the price you pay for top quality tools. But it’s always easy selling something that you are truly confident in. It is on display every day and I make a big deal showing everyone it is the only styling tool at my work station. And I’m my trolly they will see my scissors and the attachment parts to the air wrap. As a stylist if I know that my client is using this in their spare time . I already know that they are doing their job in looking after their hair themselves . Ensuring they’re using recommended products too. It leaves me with less roadblocks when it comes to their service which a lot of the time my biggest time waster is working carefully around damaged and fragile hair. I use it for my weekly blow wave concessions and some of my clients even have one of their own. Because of this Almost 80% of my clientele use the air wrap once a week with me or at home. This has become their only styling source for the week. My clientele are my walking advertisement

My Salon, stylist and clients love our Supersonics - We love it so much that we now have four of them. There’s an enormous number of reviews out there and I should be sharing more than I am, but I wanted to show people my favourites. supersonic not so super

I bought a Dyson supersonic at Best Buy for around $500, which outside of my car, was the biggest purchase of my life. I bought the Dyson because it was supposed to be the best. I have babied this hair dryer as if it was a part of my family. The warranty says it's for 2 years, and today, 2 years and 3 months later, the dryer just stopped working. (Good job Dyson on timing it so that your products work just up until your warranty runs out, and then your customers need to buy another one - guaranteed recurring revenue stream!) I have tried every possible troubleshooting suggestion. Still no power. Why does such an expensive product suddenly break down right after the warranty ends??? Why is it made so poorly yet costs so much? I am forever disappointed that something so simple - the power supply - just stops working in its tracks. No warning. By the way, the dryer has been so well cared for (regular cleaning and maintenance of the filter, for example), it looks brand new. My guess is thi

The dyson nural is ruining my hair, what am I doing wrong?

I have short fine, thin, wavy hair (2A/2B) hair. Whenever I use my Remington hair diffuser my hair looks incredibly defined, wavy, and non frizzy. I e started using the Dyson nural diffuser at low speed and low heat but my hair looks like a birds nest. I’ve tried on high speed/high heat, low speed/high heat, and various combinations and nothing. I’m past the 30 days return and I have no idea what to do. I’ve tried using the diffuser only, diffuse roots + dome for strands, and dome only, nothing makes it look better it makes it look messier. I tried my Remington again it was amazing. I reached out to Dyson, and they won’t offer me a return, exchange, or credit. I’d love any tips on how to make it work for my hair. Thank you!

brand new i.d. cutting out

My brand new I.d. cut out whenever I used it - even the first time - saying the filter needed cleaning. Seemed unlikely as it was brand new. Exchanged for another one - and same problem first time I use it! Makes drying hair very hard as I have to keep stopping and restarting

4 month old Supersonic Pro Stops Working Mid-dry/All Lights Flash

Hello. Can anyone help? This $500 hair dryer is 4 months old. It will randomly turn itself off and then all lights flash. Dyson is telling me they can’t refund me, which I think is wrong give them hairdryer is only 4 months old. Anyone else have this issue? The machine is new and regularly cleaned and stored in its case when not in use, and only I am using it with my husband occasionally using it, so it’s not as if it is getting over-used. Anyone else in this boat? Pretty frustrating for something that was so expensive, and is basically brand new.

Dyson Airstrait sets off Dyson air purifier

Everytime I use the air strait, even on completely dry mode, my Dyson air purifier shows purple/red. Doesn't happen when I use my Dyson supersonic or any other hair heat tools. Any clue what this emission is? Should we be concerned about health risks?

dyson hairdryer makes my hair greasy more quickly

Hello, I got a new Dyson hairdryer recently and I've noticed when I dry my hair, even without using the styling attachments, it gets greasy much more quickly. It is just happening with the Dyson as I dried my hair with my old Philips hairdryer to check and my hair lasts much longer in between washes than with the Dyson. I haven't changed anything in my routine and no new products so it has to be the hairdryer but i can't work out why?? Or how to fix this. Any ideas? Thanks steph

round brush keeps coming off

I got the air warp at Christmas. The round brush attachment keeps coming away from the main styler every time I use it. It’s clicked in properly but just pops off every single time, no matter what. It’s really frustrating!!!

Dyson Airstrait performance

Hi, This thread is to inform others that the Dyson airstrait does NOT function at higher altitudes. I was not aware of this when purchased, and discovered this after the 30 day return period. Dyson has done nothing to rectify other than offer more products that won’t work at altitude. Buyer beware. I also couldn’t leave a review, so had to resort to leaving here for others to be made aware of this incredibly frustrating design flaw.

Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer Not Working

I purchased a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer from a store in Dublin, Ireland on 20th March 2021. The guarantee is out of date since last March 2023. The hairdryer has been working intermittently in the last two weeks and stopped working totally yesterday. I cleaned the filter as per instruction on the My Dyson website. I paid €300 for this hairdryer and it has only lasted two years and eight months and I really don’t feel that this is satisfactory. I have had other cheaper brands of hair dryers in the past and they have lasted over five years. Is there support available? Many thanks
