Just wondered if anyone else has experienced heat damage from the hairdryer?

Not personally. I don’t think its possible to the Dyson tech. The hair dryer doesn’t gets hot enough.
Sorry, should have made myself clearer. I meant with the diffuser, Mine certainly gets extremely hot even when on a low heat setting, probably because the inside of the diffuser is metal
