Dyson 360 Vis Nav, Matter Version 1.2

Now that we've finally gotten reliable connectivity to our robots, I'm turning my attention to asking about the software support for Matter 1.2

Looking on the community it was asked over a year ago if there was any plans to add HomeKit / Matter / Google Home / SmartThings support to not only the Vis Nav but also the air purifier range.

Coming to over a year on and there is silence on the subject from Dyson, with a product range as diverse as what they've got this seems like a glaring oversight aswell as something that should be addressed as since the wider iOS 18.4 release the following robot vacuum manufacturers are pledging support via firmware updates, some of these are even rolling updates out in the next 10 Days!

The software team have proven they can rollout a fix in record time for the connectivity issues, isn't it about time that some of the products got in on matter standard finally?

As I mentioned on the following discussion thread - 

 

We never share what the engineers may or may not be working on before we’re ready to launch - whether hardware or software.

If we ever have news to share in this space, I’ll make sure the Dyson Community is kept updated.

@Jack I think we should be thanking you for how quickly we've had that connectivity fix rolled out for the robot!

Though seriously I can understand the software roadmap being kept under wraps but what a great way to keep customers and show that there is a longevity to Dyson products by adding such a feature!

What I can reassure you is that customer feedback shared within the Dyson Community is passed along to the relevant internal teams, and this insight helps inform future development plans.

We’re never in a position to guarantee feature requests or put timelines around any potential future releases, but we know there’s keen demand for this feature!
