Should I buy the Dyson 360 Vis Nav

I’m a huge fan of Dyson products and have long wanted a robot vacuum to help clean the floors in my home. Once Dyson released their newest robot vacuum, I was excited to potentially purchase the product but reluctant once I saw the price. I’d like to take advantage of Black Friday/Cyber Monday pricing, but the online reviews are not convincing. Owners, was the purchase worth it? I’d love to get feedback from this community on if the product is actually worth the money. Thanks in advance for your wisdom and insights!

Vis Nav - Website says v005, but download is 003?

I recently got a Vis Nav and set it up, and observed it mostly working. The mapping took a few tries and honestly looks skewed/rotated vs where it cleans and reports. Definitely has had some struggles getting back to the dock, and I’ll see it get stuck in a loop just backing up and going forward around an obstacle over and over and over again, presumably it would do this until it ran out of battery.I got this robot as a replacement for my Neato, and it seems promising, with active development and such from Dyson. The UK site also claims software updates through at least Dec 2031, which is a nice piece of mind.Anyway, with some of the odd behaviors I noticed, I was anxious to try out the newest software. My robot is on v003. As I understand it, v004 came out about 6 months ago, and v005 was less than a week ago.I can see v005 on the software updates page for the robot...https://www.dyson.com/support/vacuum-cleaners/robots/360-vis-nav/software-updatesbut when I click the link to download

dyson 360 Vis Nav Error cose

I have just received my brand new Dyson 360, I have not been able to set it up as it has automatically came up with the error code 11.17.1.i have completed the power cycles, uninstalled and reinstalled on app, nothing. called CS and I had to book in to talk to an expert which isn’t until another week, fairly poor service to receive a unusable vacuum cleaner and have to wait so long to have it fixed.

Not so green battery policy with robot vacuum cleaners - where are the Huerist batteries!

Hi to all,I am new to Dyson and have tended to avoid as being either over complicated or just too expensive for what they are. I have finally been persuaded by my wife and family to purchase a robot vacuum and bought a second hand Huerist. I was fully aware from the seller that the battery may be flat and maybe woudn’t charge as it had been in his garage for 2 years but I was sure that batteries can be fixed or easily obtainable, never had an issue with any piece of equipment before. How wrong I was!Looking on line it seems that there are many Huerist owners complaining that their batteries run out too quickly/brick or won’t charge - overcomplicated anyone?There are no Heurist replacement batteries for sale on the Dyson site. There are a few non oem batteries for sale but these are for the 360 eye and will not fit in the Huerist despite being sold as such - they clearly do not have the same voltage or the security lug slot. floor vents

I have the Dyson 360 vis nav. I had been having issues with it getting stuck on my floor vents. The vents were flat and metal. Every time it would start to cross over it, it would stop and inch forwards and back. Sometimes it would free itself other times it wouldn’t. I tried no go zones but you can’t precisely place them. So I bought some lighter colored ones that are made of wood. They also have raised edges. I’ve tested the robot on low lift sensitivity and it is working perfectly. It no longer bugs out and tries to inch forwards and back. I don’t know if it thought the old ones were ledges or what. But I know many other people have experienced this issue and wanted to share what I’ve found.

i was told by Dyson Customer service that my 360 Vis Nav needed to be returned for service (critical error code reported to them) and I should be exoecting a box to ship. this never happened

I called back three times and was assured a box would be sent but it never has happened.  It has been 6 months.  My Vus Nav now only reports insufficient features and will not clean despite remapping and resetting repeatedly

Self empty base

An idea i had thought about. Dyson should have made a base that a dyson stick vac could have connected to. The stick vac could act like a selft empty base when the robot docked up to the base.

Has the colour of the dock for the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot changed?

I just received my Dyson 360 vis nav and noticed the dock that shipped with my unit doesn’t match to color of the robot. On the Dyson product page it shows the dock matches the robot. The dock it came with is a greyish color; is this normal or did it ship with the wrong one?[Moderation edit - title updated]

how to test 360 camera quality / performance

I just got a new Dyson 360 NAV and suspect that it’s having some visibility issues with the 360 camera because it’s not doing a very good job navigating and going to the edges of the floors not even close. When I zoom into the top of the 360 camera, it looks like there are potentially some tiny little defects or possibly chips or tiny Scratch and I’m wondering if this is what is hindering the performance ? is there a way to test if this is an issue or not? If we suspect there is an issue with the 360 camera is there a way to just replace the physical glass on the camera without replacing the entire unit? Like I said, I just got it recently, but even with numerous runs, it’s never covering the majority of our floors, even though I admit that it is a smaller place with a lot of things to navigate around. I have owned multiple much less expensive robot vacuums in the past and they have all done a much better job covering the majority of the floors, including Proscenic vacuums, which are a

Zoning

Hi all,I am totally confused and I know it’s probably me.  I have mapped my house and I’m now trying to zone it.  I have had numerous attempts at it and watched numerous You Tube videos but still cannot define areas properly.  I have a lot of hallways and rooms.  I can’t really tell which rooms are being labelled and two rooms that are wrong will not change.  If I just define a couple of areas will this work as whole rooms?  Can anyone advise the easiest way to zone?

Button Depressed

Why is my button permanently depressed? One day, I looked at it was. I am not aware of anything that impacted the vacuum. I typically control it from the app, but on occasion will press the button. I am not able to ‘wriggle’ the button free. Interestingly, the button still works, as far as starting the vacuum. Though, there’s no tactile feedback to know that I have pressed the button. The light will spin and then vacuuming will commence. I can still manage everything from the app. It is displeasing to look at and knowing that something is off. Any way to restore the button to its intended design?

Dyson Shady Vacuum battery business /Terrible Customer Support

I have a brand new Dyson 360 Heurist robot vacuum and has no receipt. Unfortunately I opened it late and battery was dead already. I approached customer service and they told me  apply for stock notification but nothing comes up after 8 months.Than they offered me to upgrade $800 dollar vacuum to $1400 with Dyson 360 eye with 10% discount. I can see Dyson 360 eye has same issues i.e. No battery in the stock. Customer service in Asia don’t understand English and copy and pasting same stuff without even reading my emails.  Kind of very annoying.I only bought robot due to the fact I used Dyson D23 which served me very good. Now my $800 dollar robot vacuum is useless garbage taking space in hope of getting battery which Dyson will never get in the stock.What a company. Shame on you guys that wasted my hard earned money.

Dyson 360 dock height clearance

Hi everyone,I have my Dyson 360 Vis Nav against a wall with the necessary clearance from side to side, but has anyone experimented with the height needed for the robot to still find its way to the doc?  My situation is I had to move the robot to a different room and move some furniture out of the way so now I have a bare wall/hard surface which is causing echo issues for video call sound.  I’d like to put a console table or build in some floating cabinet shelving to provide some visual element in the camera view and also bounce the sound in different directions.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav Wish List

Hi Dyson Support and Product Team,I’ve been in the market for a robot vacuum and while I really wanted to get the Dyson 360 Vis Nav, a few things have made me reluctant to click “buy”.  I thought I’d list out the things from a prospective buyer to help with your product roadmap.  I’ll try and keep the list to ‘reasonable’ things that fit the direction of the current Dyson 360 Vis Nav product.A user replaceable lens for the fisheye camera.  From what I’ve read, if the lens gets scratched, the navigation gets thrown off and it is pretty much unusable.  Looking at a spare parts document from your .au division, there is no way to replace the lens as this is part of the core body.  Being able to unscrew this lens and replace it would reduce the anxiety I have about accidentally scratching it down the road. Specs on the software/firmware updates you are pushing for the nav.  I don’t love having to rely on influencers on YouTube to tell me a new update has improved the navigation.  I would lo

regretful purchase!

I purchased the Dyson Gen5Detect Absolute from Myers on the last day of the sale they had on the 29/08/24, as I urgently needed a vacuum, with my previous Dyson (V8) no longer in working order. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the demo vacuum at the store. Despite visiting the electrical goods counter twice and asking other staff for assistance, no one was available to help. One staff member was hesitant to assist me at first, but after I explained that I had come earlier and now needed to move my car, I decided to purchase the vacuum without testing it due to time constraints. When I got home, I found the vacuum to be quite heavy and difficult to maneuver. It's hard on the back and shoulders and seems better suited for someone very fit and strong. While the light on the Fluffy Optic cleaner head is excellent at revealing dog hair and dust, it functions more like a strong duster than a vacuum—it only sucks in dust and hair but doesn’t pick up the stains on the tiles as well, as the

Dyson 360 Vis Nav fully powering down in the middle of mapping and cleaning losing progress.

I recently bought a Dyson 360 vis nav and it is regularly powering down during runs. It will be cleaning and stop and shut down fully. If you walk over and tap the screen, it turns back on but it lost all progress. It has happened both in cleaning and mapping. I returned the original one thinking it's a fluke and bought another one and the second one is reproducing the same behavior which leads me to believe it's an issue in the firmware. Is there known issues relating to spontaneous power offs during cleaning or mapping? If so, replacement didn’t work for me so I would likely just have to return the unit.
