Question about broken part / spare part - 360 vis nav (rotating brush grey clip/tab)

Hi there,

I broke a part on my Dyson 360 Vis nav : The removable grey mounting clip on the rotating brush : 

 

This is a removable part (as shown on Dyson’s video here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWDQk8V3teA&t=30s

 

I’d like to buy a spare part, but I’m not sure how to find the right one. 

On Dyson’s (french) website, I’ve found 2 spare parts available to order : 

  • 970492-01 : Which is the rotating brush. Does it come with the grey part ? The picture suggest that it does, but I’d like confirmation :) https://www.dyson.fr/support/journey/spare-details.970492-01
  • 971945-01 : Which has no picture, but is named “Release tab”.. so maybe that’s the part I’m looking for ? 

I tried calling Dyson Support, but they had no info about spare part availability/documentation and could only offer a full RMA of the robot.

 

Would anyone have any information on this ? :)

I apologise for the inconvenience. Since you're experiencing an issue with the grey mounting clip on the rotating brush, the brush bar needs to be replaced. Rest assured, the spare part with SKU 970492-01 is compatible with your machine and will resolve the issue. Thank you for your message. I’ve received your private message and from the information you've asked for (address, phone number, robot serial number, etc.) I understand that you'd like to open a new customer service case, but that's not really what I asked for... especially as I've already contacted Dyson support about it. 

Instead, would you be able to get details of the contents of the two part-numbers I gave in my initial message, to see if one of them contains the part I described? 

I don't think there's anything confidential in these questions, so I don't think it's a problem to answer them in public, if anything it'll help the next person who has the same broken part problem as me :) 

Otherwise I’ll order the 2 spare parts on the Dyson website (hoping to receive what I need) and we'll see what I receive, it will be a surprise :)

Thanks for your help ! 

I ordered spare part 970492-01 and can confirm it does come with the grey mounting clip :) 

 

My issue is solved, but I would suggest adding more details (pictures, box content, etc) on Dyson’s spare part website, that would ease things up for other users in the future :)
