Hi, I own a Corrale Hair straightener since July 2024, but I'm having problems with it, when I'm styling my hair I do it cordless.... when the battery is empty or almost empty I plug it and continue styling... in less than a minute it turns off... to summarise the problems is that it doesn't charge when it's On... I took it to official service center and they said that's how it is... that the charging power is lower than than the power it need to work so I need to let it charge for a while and then continue styling... that doesn't make sense to me, I need more than the 30 minutes the battery life time to style my hair, and it's not logical to wait 40 or so minute to continue styling... it is true?? Are they right at service center?? It is not possible to work with the cable plug in directly??? Someone with the same problem??

As you’ve mentioned, from a full charge the Dyson Corrale™️ straightener offers up to 30 minutes of cordless styling.

For longer styling sessions we'd recommend using your straightener in hybrid mode (with the cable attached) to extend runtime. As the Service Center have correctly confirmed, attaching the cable will not allow the straightener to run indefinitely. 

From what you’ve described, it sounds as if your machine is working as we’d expect it to - but we have some further tips to maximise runtime - 

  • Start each styling session from a full charge
  • Place your straightener on the charging dock/attach the cable in between passes, or when not in use, to help boost the charge.
  • Try using slow, even passes on your hair.
  • The straightener charges quickly, reaching 90% in just 40 minutes
  • Once finished, place on the dock or attach the cable to charge. Ready for your next styling session.
