Just got my airwrap and everything works fine apart from the fact that the conical barrel dosen’t seem to want to wrap the ends of my hair it will wrap the top and mid section but the ends just wont stay? Unsure if this is because my hair is very long or not.

Hi @elan,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thank you for letting us know about this.

It sounds like you're having some trouble with the Dyson Airwrap's conical barrel. Here are a few tips that might help:

  • Hair Length: If your hair is very long, it might be harder for the ends to wrap around the barrel. Try cutting a small section of your hair to see if it wraps better.

  • Preparation: Ensure your hair is about 80% dry before using the Airwrap. If it's too wet, it may not curl properly.

  • Tension and Hold: When curling, hold the end of your hair and let the Airwrap wrap your hair around the barrel. Ensure there's enough tension and hold it for a few seconds before releasing.

  • Cold Shot: Use the cold shot button to set the curls in place before letting them go.

  • Styling Products: Consider using a lightweight styling mousse or setting spray to help the curls hold longer.

These simple checks should help rule out any obvious issues, and it may be possible to resolve this on the spot! You may also find our Getting started video guide helpful:

Hope this helps!
