Dyson Corrale straighteners - lock

Good afternoon - My partner recently bought me the dyson Corrale straighteners as an early Christmas present. I’ve only had them roughly a week and the lock has stopped working so I can’t lock them together anymore. Is there a simple way to fix this or will I have to send them back to Dyson for repair?

Hi @LEM9, thanks for your posts. Can you confirm if the flexing plates are touching?
