My DC44 has no power. It cut out after a few seconds - now seemingly dead. The only clue I have is that charger flashes once when I connect the cable to the machine. No other lights appear anywhere. I’ve had no previous signs that the battery is dying. All working fine, til now. Any help much appreciated.

The DC44 has been retired since December 2019 meaning no services or parts can be sent for this machine.
