I am a disabled person, as is my wife (I have MS). My wife secretly splurged on a Dyson V10 last year, for my birthday, and it has suddenly stopped working (3 blue lights flash once when trigger pulled). I spent 2 hours this morning on the 'Chat' trying to find what I can do, as it's still under warranty for 13 more months, only to be told to pay £115 for a replacement part. I don't understand why? Then I tried in vain to find an email address to write to, as my disability affects my speech and comprehension, but all I can find are phone numbers. I feel really fobbed off, and am really not very happy at all. £450 for a vacuum cleaner, then another £115 less than a year later?? Yes, it's used daily, as I can't use the other corded Dysons we have due to my muscle weakness. I have 5 Dyson products in my home, and have never once needed customer service, they've always worked perfectly, with a little TLC. Please can anyone help me? I feel at a loss.

She has responded today, in fact. But is asking for a receipt/proof of purchase; which I don't have. I don't know what to do now. 😞

Maybe you should take an image of the backside of the battery, which shows your machine's serial number.

The motor and trigger housing was swapped over, so it's practically new again now. Panic over! 🚨
