Dissapointed with first Dyson and service | Dyson Community

Hi, I just bought a V8 and while I was excited with my first Dyson, the experience has not been good.

  1. The Dyson won’t turn on. It came with a deffective batter (red light flashing and won’t charge). This makes me think their quality assurance is nonexistent if they don’t even try to turn on a product.
  2. I called support and they are sending me a new battery (wait another week). When I asked about how to properly dispose of the old battery the agents sounded confused and said “You will have to dispose it” and replied that Dyson has no recycle or properly disposal program.

Very dissapointed. I hope that once I install the new batter the vacuum sucks properly and as much as the current experience (can’t help myself with a “suck” joke here)
