dyson airwrap is 230-240v 50hz ina 220v 60hz country

I bought airwrap ID in australia and the description clearly stated its 220-240v. But upon receiving it, it is only 230-240v in 50hz.

Now, I live in the philippines where it was made. Can i still use it? Will dyson allow me to return me for this inaccuracy of product description? This is the first time I saw a 230-240v airwrap as its usually 220-240v

Hi @lostmonterra,

Welcome to the Dyson community!

The Dyson Airwrap ID is designed to operate at the specific voltage of the country it was purchased in. Since you bought it in Australia, it is made to run on 230-240V at 50Hz. The voltage in the Philippines is 220V at a frequency of 60Hz. As countries have different electrical standards, we do not recommend using your Dyson machine overseas.

Regarding the return, you'll need to talk directly to our Dyson Customer Care experts in your region, please visit Dyson.com and click Support to get in touch with the right Dyson Customer Care team for your region.

The thing is, the website advertised it at 220-240v so I was sure it could work in my country. Now that I have flown back to philippines, how am I going to return that and whose cost? That is misadvertising to me. The product description should match tha products sent to me.
