Hi, I have had my Gen5 for about 12 months. Today I went to use it and the screen was all gibberish and I tried turning it off and on a few times and it wouldn’t turn off, just went up and down on the speeds. Eventually it turned off and same glitched screen. I put it back on the dock and it seems to be ok now but for how long? I’m wondering if this is a sign of a failure in the screen/unit and should be sending back for repairs before warranty runs out.

 

It sounds like a potential hardware issue with the screen or internal components. If the gibberish screen persists or recurs, it might indicate a failure. Since it’s still under warranty, I’d recommend contacting the manufacturer for a diagnostic check or repair before the warranty expires. Better to address it now than risk further problems later.


Yeah I waited an hour and went to vacuum something again and the screen was fine but it wouldn’t power off so I took to the store to send back. The lady was pretty hopeless. Told me you can’t use Boost on it and because she could turn it off and on once she said it was in working order. I told her to try and turn it off again and she told me I needed to hold the power button down. You don’t need to hold the power button down to turn it off and she couldn’t turn it off so at least they have sent the unit back to get tested. Hopefully they will replace the unit as it’s obviously faulty.


100% agree. I sent it back through the store we bought it from, took about 2 weeks just to send it. They claim they couldn’t find anything wrong and sent it back, so it had better not happen again because I’ve already sent it away and I’m not paying that price again for a new one :(
