My dyson keeps cutting out. I’ve already cleaned the filters and washed the ‘sock’. One thing to note is that it only cuts out when I’m actively vacuuming with the main hose. When I disconnect the main hose the engine runs smoothly.

Is the machine is pulsing/revving - this is a blocked airway somewhere in your machine.
If it cuts of with a blinking light pattern - it’s either the battery or main body of the machine.
