I have been looking for a replacement filter for my V12. It’s been out of stock for as long as I can remember buying the machine, however when I hit the be advised when back in stock, I have received 2 email from Dyson stating it’s back in stock and buy now. Of course when I hit buy now, it’s not in stock. Part number 971517-01. So what’s going on? Would have thought filters are the last thing they would run out of stock.

have you tried calling Dyson. There website and retail stock (that of the help centre) comes from a different allocation. Maybe they can fulfil the order?
The other option would be to approach a authorised parts retailer. There are several listed on this post -
