I have a Dyson V15 detect which stopped working properly and was still within warranty. I called Dyson support and they “placed” an order for replacement but asked me to ship mine back to them first. They said once received the warehouse would ship a new replacement. It’s been over 2 months since I started this process. I shipped back my broken vacuum with the UPS label they provided and with UPS confirmation that it was received by dyson. After numerous phone calls, chats and emails - the farthest I get is “allow 24-48 hrs for an update”. I have never received an update. I have never received the replacement and I honestly don’t know what is left for me to do. The service has been terrible. Phone calls and chats are so slow and take hours. Not what I was expecting for a customer with a $700 vacuum. All that’s left is to report them to the BBB. Anybody have any other ideas for solutions?
Update: I called again yesterday and asked to speak with a supervisor. This time the supervisor was competent and figured out the issue right away. The label sent to me to use to return the defected vacuum was incorrect and my vacuum ended up going to Chicago where stations corporate office is instead of going to the warehouse to be processed. Because the warehouse never got my vacuum, they never shipped the resident to me. Make sure you get the correct label from Dyson before you ship back your defected product. The supervisor was very empathetic about this whole situation and requested that my reliable vacuum be released and shipped to be immediately. He also offered an accessory free of charge. Hopefully this worked. I will update when I receive my vacuum.
I’m glad this worked for you. I have repeatedly asked for supervisors and have been told it was “impossible” to connect me.
I shipped my Dyson back (after buying 2 new parts--neither of which solved the issue and not having been told they were under warranty). They have had my vaccum since 11/14. I have called, emailed, messaged.
Now they are saying I need to file a claim with UPS.. It’s never ending..
