How do I maintain the internal Debris brush bars on my Dyson WashG1 wet floor cleaner?

I have the Dyson GI wash at present I do not have any issues but I was wondering if anyone had attempted to remove the brushes, I need to take them off and clean behind them, it appears on the instructions that you pull them off but I’m a bit worried I might break them, just wondering if anyone has attempted this and how easy is it to do.

Hi @Ruthbeth,

No problem at all, and thanks for clarifying here!

Yes, the internal Debris brush bars can be removed for maintenance and cleaning, as shown in the User guide. Just apply a gentle constant force until they detach:

Hope this helps!

Hi @Ruthbeth,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and congratulations on your new Dyson WashG1™ wet floor cleaner!

We recommend using the Self-clean function after each cleaning session, then removing and washing the wet rollers by hand every 3 washses. They can be cleaned using a gentle household antibacterial detergent, then allowed to air dry completely.

To find out more, take a look at the maintenance video guides in our Getting started article:

Hope this helps!

Hi Jack thank your for the feedback 😄however it’s not the roller I’m referring too it’s the brushes, I have a dog and some of her fur has accumulated where the brushes are attached & I’m sure it’s only going to get worse if I can’t remove them, by the instructions you just pull but we’re a bit afraid of breaking it, we just want to know how easy is it too do and what kind of force can you use to remove them? A video would be helpful 😃

Thanks RB
