Dyson V8 Pulsing

Hi.My Dyson V8 has been switching on and off after only 15 minutes of use.I've thoroughly checked every part for blockage, washed the filters, tried with a different floor attachment and cleaned out the bin too. But the pulsing doesn't stop. It only stops when I remove the prefilter. Does that mean there's something definitely wrong with the filter or there could still be another problem with it?

poor services and responces

My V11 hoover switch not working so arranged a collection and repair. I asked item to be collected from my home address but the courier went to my registered works address instead and therefore collection date missed. On confirmation note from Dyson it did say that the collection address was my works so I phoned and asked collection address to be changed. This was confirmed but still no collection..Collection day was originally on a Monday. I phoned every day when parts not collected only to be told my order had been cancelled because of the original failed collection.A new order was raised but told I had to wait a week, yes a week, for collection as no slots available. If I ordered a new Dyson, I bet delivery would be a day and not a week.Tried to find someone in UK to speak to but got absolutely nowhere.Talking to Dyson now is like entering a never ending loop. It’s terrible.I’ve had quite a few Dyson products in the past. Would I buy know? Questionable based on this experience.

When will Dyson fix the obvious poorly designed V-Ball wheels, and why do you keep using them?

It is painfully obvious the little nib of a mount for the v-ball wheels are POORLY designed. They have broken on quite a number of vacuum heads. You are still using them on the latest model, which now costs over 1000 dollars. Can you provide a timeline when Dyson will make good on the people that have been under warranty but where unable to get a new vacuum head. When will Dyson stop using the POORLY designed V-Ball entirely?

V15 Cordless clean filter message

I have had my v15 for just over 2 years. I started getting the ‘clean filter’ message and even after cleaning the filter (which looked quite clean) still got the message over and over. I contacted Dyson and they said the whole body and cyclone assembly would have to be replaced!? I asked myself...this is a £600+ machine that requires its entire main vacuuming/ cyclone assembly replaced after just over 2 years of very low usage? The machine is only used once a week at most on a fairly clean apartment (no building works in or nearby so not a plaster dust clog for example).While the Dyson agent was courteous and helpful I decided that I wasn't happy paying for this replacement part as, lets face it, previous stick Dyson's I had owned never had this type of problem and I used them for many hassle free years. I'm no engineer but it would seem to be a design fault with the V15 cyclone becoming clogged and restricting the airflow through the machine (thus reporting it as a filter clog proble

Dyson V8 Absolute

My V8 Absolute is charging and the battery lights up when you pull the trigger. However, the vacuum stopped working. All of the tubes are clear and the filters are cleaned regularly. I’ve only had it since end of November’23…about six months of use before it died. I called support today to get warranty service. Representative said the head unit needs to be replaced and they have no stock. Apparently, there are no replacements available and I’ll get an email in a week or two and I should call back in. What? A great solution would be to replace it with a current comparable model that does the same cleaning.There seem to be lots of posts like this on other forums. Maybe a class action suit would help them get there service back on track.

terrible customer service no replacement parts?!

Purchased a Dyson v12 slim detect on December 20th . The fluffy head broke on June 10th and I contacted support. I was informed that while they would replace the fluffy head under warranty, there were no parts in stock and that I would be notified by email when they are in stock. They would not place an order so that when it came in stock they would send the part. Instead I have to check daily to see if the part comes in and hope that I can go through the process quickly enough to get a new fluffy head before they sell out. No parts have come back in stock in 3 weeks now. This is absurd. I will be informing everyone I know what a pain it is to get a simple replacement vacuum head. I have read various forums of people commenting with the same issue. Apparently these parts are rarely in stock and when they are they go very fast.

main body replacement due to small plastic component failure

I have a Cyclone V10.It is working fine, except that a small plastic connection on the main body has broken off, with the result that the catch to open the flap for emptying no longer works.During an online chat with Dyson I was advised that I need to replace the whole main body at a cost of £105!Has anyone else had this problem? It seems to be a case of the plastic part not being robust enough for continued use, so it is a design fault which then renders the whole main body useless.I believe Dyson should accept that this is a defect in the design and they should replace the body foc.Comments would be welcome.

Lack of complaint procedure

I contacted Dyson via chat on 18th June 2024 because my vacuum (V15 Animal detect) decided to stop working. They said they could order me a new battery but they were out of stock and i would have to wait. I said they were in stock online and the advisor went away and returned after speaking to their manager. Magically, they were in stock and one arrived. The battery didnt solve the issue. The first is fully charged and the second charges. They wanted to send me a charger and i informed them the charger works. They decided they needed to send me a replacement machine (body only) but again said they were out of stock. i explained they were in stock online but they said they could put me on the list only, or send an engineer, if i were to wait a further 2 weeks (until 9th July)I explained that would mean id of been without a vacuum for a month and asked if a temporary vacuum could be provided which they declined. I explained they were in stock and as one of my relatives worked for Dyson,

Terrible Customer Service - Warranty Resolution?

This experience has taught me I should have checked this forum to understand the myriad complaints by customers regarding Dyson service prior to paying a premium for a poor-quality product. I’ve unfortunately now joined the numbers. I purchased a V10 cordless vacuum assuming Dyson was still a sound investment that would last – those days of course are gone, and Dyson does not stand by its product. The product was used every two weeks in a house without pets or kids, so by no means has there been heavy use. After 10 months (on a product with a 2-year warranty) the unit started intermittently shutting down. I called Dyson Customer Disservice and was given a case number for a replacement part number for the V10 main body that was out of stock and I should call back in two weeks because the person on the phone could not place a back order for this part. Inability to create a back order seemed a bit strange, but I agreed to follow this request. Understanding the V10 was nearing the en

HiI have a V11 absolute and need to replace the cleaning head as it is damaged. It originally came with the Torque Drive head but should I replace like for like or get the Motorbar head? The original Torque Drive head has been fine but reading up, it suggests the Motorbar head is better for animal hairs? I’m so confused as to which one to buy? Please help!

As a long-standing Dyson customer, I have owned a variety of products, including the Dyson Outsize Plus, V12 Detect, Dyson V8 Animal, and the widely discussed Dyson DC35 (as seen on YouTube). Regrettably, all these products have exhibited design and ergonomic defects. Here are the specific issues I have encountered with the Dyson V12 Detect:Fluffy Optic Cleaner Head: The purple flexible part of the cleaner head has a design defect that leads to premature wear and tears. Within a year, due to friction with the outer enclosure, large tears have developed on both sides of the plastic flexible housing, resulting in a significant decrease in suction.Bin Design: The bin's design is too narrow, which necessitates constant manual cleaning, regardless of the fill level. After each use, hair and other debris must be manually removed. V10 will not shut off.

V10 Animal will not shut off. There has been several discussions about this issue. Most common problem identified is that the screw hole on the back of the handle elongates, possibly because of it hanging in the wall charging station. What I have found is that the molded hole at the top of the trigger or the bottom of the horizontal element of the base is shatter and MIA. The entire trigger assembly is not appropriately positioned, possibly tipped. This forces some pressure on the actual trigger, the red part. Therefore the bread trigger plunger with the spring, pushes downward with a force that exceeds the upward force of the springfoot on the battery. As I see it there's sort of a balance going on here. Normally the springfoot on the battery pushes up lightly on the trigger plunger and the trigger where your finger touches extends out of the housing.V10 Animal will not shut off.There has been several discussions about this issue. Hi all, hoping you might beable to help me. While cleaning the vacuum I’ve noticed the silver bit on the cyclone has become dented, what would cause this? It wasn’t like this last week when I emptied the vacuum. I didn’t notice anything in the bin compartment to cause this, was mostly dust and dog fur as usual. Purchased 5th May 2024 a V15 Detect which had the £100 offer Recycle your old Dyson vacuum for £100 back. Machine has arrived with all of the usual emails and My.Dyson account etc. I have not received any emails about how to return my old Dyson (which is on the list of accepted models). I have checked my spam/junk folder and nothing. That’s the suggestion on this threadThere is a 14 day period to do this so I’m raising it here as that’s a short term to return something if the automated email system isn’t working. V10 bin release stuck

Recently my V10 bin release has stuck. The red lever to slide the bin forward is getting stuck so it cannot be moved. However, I believe I have found the answer to this issue and others may want to know this.When closing the bin (after emptying) if you push the bin back first and THEN close the lid, the red lever will jam!You must close the lid AS YOU PUSH the bin back, then it works as it should!I’m not sure that Dyson makes it clear that you MUST push the lid closed AS YOU SLIDE the bin back into position. Never close the lid first!

V11 Stripped Screw

My bin runner stop broke - ordered replacement. TO install new bin runner, you have to remove 4 screws from main body of vac. 3 screws came out easily, last one is stripped. Because it is seated waaayy down in that hole, there is no way to get to it. I took it to a vacuum repair shop and they basically said I was out of luck. Any ideas on how to get a stripped screw out of a recessed hole? Or doo I have to spend $100+ to replace the entire body on a vac that is slightly more than 2 years old?

Dyson V11 Absolute Extra High Torque Head problem - suction OK but brush not rotating.

Bought this product about 3.5 years ago and never had any problems. But suddenly the brush in the High Torque vacuum head doesn’t rotate anymore. We’ve taken it apart and cleaned everything we can as per the manual. There’s definitely sunction getting to the head as we can successfully use there other heads we have (e.g. soft roller head). When we take the roller off we can rotate the spindle by hand easily so it’s not jammed. A bit frustrated, any ideas. TIA
