Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my Dyson Gen5. When I attach the floor tool while the device is running, it doesn't start working immediately. It only works if I turn the device off and then on again. Is this normal behavior, or could there be an issue with the attachment or the vacuum itself?

Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community, and thanks for your question!
To confirm, what you’ve described is completely normal behavior from your Dyson Gen5detect vacuum - you’ll need to restart your machine to engage the brush bar motor.
Reassuringly, it sounds as if your machine is working exactly as we’d expect it to.
Hope this helps!
