Part came off of Vacuum

Hi!

I was vacuuming and this part came off of my v15, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone. 
Am I able to order another part; or is it mainly just the design of the vacuum to look nice?

 Yes. Its Just happened to me whilst I was  vacuuming.     My V15 Is under one year old and   its only used in a small flat so hardly any use. So will get in contact with Dyson support.   Thank you for posting.

This happened to me today while I was vacuuming my rug only. My vacuum is only 4 weeks old. Is this an easy fix and should it be happening?
