Whenever I use the self-clean function, when it has finished the tray has water in it and when you take the cleaner out it spews water onto the floor. What is the cause?

It sounds like the self-clean function might not be draining properly. Here are a few potential causes and solutions:

1. Blocked Drainage Path: The drainage path might be blocked, preventing water from fully exiting the tray. Check for any debris or blockages and clean them out.

2. Improper Positioning: Ensure that the cleaner is positioned correctly during the self-clean cycle. If it's not aligned properly, it might not drain as intended.

3. Overfilled Water Tank: If the water tank is overfilled, it might not drain properly. Make sure to fill the tank only to the recommended level.

4. Check for Faults: There might be a fault in the self-clean mechanism. Refer to the user manual for troubleshooting steps or contact Dyson support for assistance.

Try these steps and see if they resolve the issue. If the problem persists, it might be best to get in touch with Dyson customer service for further help.
