v15 canister will not come off stick easily | Dyson Community

I have had my V15 for about 10 months. I love everything about it but getting the canister off to empty the contents of the bin. I have small hands so pushing the button and lifting the canister off is like fighting a snake. It does not slide smoothly off the stick, like the videos I have watched. I thought it would get better the more I used it, but it hasn’t changed since day one. Is there something I can put on it, to make it slide easier or is mine defective?

Here a suggestion for how to resolve it. Try removing the bin fully from the machine, then washing the bin itself in warm soapy water - this can sometimes loosen stiff plastic parts. Make sure that the bin is 100 percent dry to the touch before placing it back on the machine.
