My daughter’s v6 animal’s brush head stops rotating after a few minutes and the motor stops. If I continue to hold the trigger closed the motor will restart after a few seconds but the brush head does not. If I then leave the device for a minute or so the whole appliance starts to work again before repeating the above.
The battery has been replaced, all tubes, etc have been cleaned and brush head has been opened and fully cleaned.
It seems as though there is some electrical cutout operating but I’ve run out of ideas to try. Any thoughts?
Here are a few steps you can follow to resolve the issue with your Dyson:
Clear the floor tool by locating the end cap on the side of the cleaner head. Use a coin to turn the end cap anticlockwise a quarter of the way to remove it.Remove the Brush bar from the Cleaner head and clear away any hair or fibres. After clearing the brush bar of any debris, refit it into the cleaner head and securely fasten the end cap. Then, attach the cleaner head to the bin and test the machine.
These simple checks should help rule out any obvious issues, and it may be possible to resolve this on the spot!

To assist you effectively, please inspect all floor tools. Confirm if multiple heads are affected or if the issue is specific to a particular cleaner head. This will ensure the correct checks are carried out.
It’s just the motorised brush head that’s affected.
The brush rotates for slightly longer without the extension tube than if it’s connected directly to the motor unit.
In both circumstances the motor stops and, if the trigger continues to be held, restarts without the brush head rotating. If the trigger is released and then squeezed again, the brush head will again rotate for a few seconds before stopping as described above.
