5 months ago, I created a post that my vacuum cleaner was a disappointment. Dyson made arrangements to have the vacuum cleaner sent via UPS to an authorized repair shop. The vacuum cleaner ended up missing. After several attempts working with Dyson, they replaced it with a brand-new vacuum cleaner with ALL the attachments included. The replacement vacuum cleaner is fantastic. It is a BALL ANIMAL 3 COMPLETE. This vacuum cleaner moves easy, pulls up the carpet with great sucking power and is easy to operate! I’m a fan again!
Impressed with my Dyson upright DC40SPOTLIGHTED POST
Hi All,Wanted to share a good news story - we have recently moved back into our house that we’ve been renting out for the past 18 months and it seems that the tenants weren’t familiar with the fact that you need to empty the vacuum after use so our Dyson DC40 had the best part of 18 months of dirt in it.Not only was it was easy to clean out but I turned it on initially without checking and it was still sucking up dirt - very impressive considering the state of the internals. I attach a photo of what we emptied out.10/10 to Dyson on this one for making a pretty much indestructible machine.
My 13 year old DC25 needs to be replaced. I tried a newer Dyson, but was really disappointed. The wand handle was difficult to slide in and out and cumbersome to use. I missed the foot pedal and found that the vacuum often tipped over or “unlocked” when I was trying to tip it up and push it across the floor. I looked at a few cordless Dysons, but definitely don’t want to have to change the brush head when I switch from hardwood to carpet. Any suggestions?
I own a dyson ball animal 3 extra upright vacuum cleaner (U1J-US-PNB0130A), less than one year old. It was working fine, but the other day it became stuck in the upright position. I checked the entire length of the hose and there is nothing blocking the hose. Nothing else I found on youtube or other web searches have helped. Are there any ideas of how to fix this? If not, where can I return it to be fixed? I am in Pittsboro, NC and there are no Dyson stores nearby from what I can tell. Thanks
I’m wondering who was responsible for designing floor heads for this machine. They’re an absolute killer and make the machine completely unusable. Pneumatic head is basically hard to push, on carpets, rugs and sometimes it sticks too much even on hard floors. It also makes an awful scraping noise on hard floors. This “lovely” carbon fibre turbine is a joke basically. It stops spinning when you put it on carpet. I mean I think whoever designed it should be fired. Apart from floor heads it’s a fairy decent machine. The cord and hose are a bit short but can be manageable. Easy emptying, cyclones work great keeping the filter clean. Although when it gets dirty, the filter is really hard to clean.
I have the light ball, When moving the ball from storage to cleaning carpets there was a loss of suctionFollowed the steps on Dyson to solve the problem and noticed that the Internal hose comes unclipped when the machine is raised or lowered Is the hose faulty ?
Hi. Our vacuum is less than a year old. It has recently been emitting a smell similar to ionized air. I thought it might be the belt, so disassembled the unit to remove the motor assembly. Upon powering, I've confirmed the smell is coming from the motor unit. It doesn't smell like burning rubber, and the axles are spinning normally. Observationally, there appears to be quite a bit out arcing between the motor brushes. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
Just received my Dyson ball this evening, I assembled as instruction show and video.when turning it on and tilting it the brush head will not move, I have pressed the brush rotation button on and off. Powered on and off but still it does not move! I have disconnected the head and reconnected it a couple of times, incase it was not connected properly. Still nothing when the hoover is switched on. Is there anything I’m missing? Or is it faulty?
On the very top of handle - is a yellow open/ closing flap that has come adrift ( no broken part or fixing )two little raised points internally for flap to fit on to but somehow they are not clipping on or slotting in .please help your fellow user or I will Dy soon
i've recently had a problem with the brush rotor on the front of my vacuum cleanerit stopped spinning so i checked the support pages and followed the instructions.then i checked youtube for answers. i found a video of someone who had a broken white power cable in the side assembly of the device.this is exactly the same place as my device. i followed the instructions and soldered the cable back together which worked.here's the URL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuS3EKAoUQEi checked out the Dyson community and other people have posted problems with their front brush not spinning so it seems to be a common problem. e.g.Help my DC25 brush bar isn't spinning - Any suggestions? | Dyson CommunityDC 25 Upright vacuum - Brush Bar Not Spinning | Dyson Communitymy problem is that the soldered connection has broken again.i looked at the possibility of replacing the white cable but though i can access the connection in the side assembly hinge i cannot get to the connection in the front brush con
I’m hoping someone can help.I have a D25 and the brush bar has stopped spinning. What actually happens is that when I turn the Dyson on the brush bar spins momentarily before stopping. I have looked at the videos online, removed the brush-bar and thoroughly cleaned it. So am confident that isn’t the issue. The fact it spins momentarily (with associated sound) suggests that it wouldn’t be a motor problem. Can anyone suggest what the issue might be and how to solve it please?
Hi,I am new to this community. I am looking to buy a purifier for my son as he has been recently diagnosed with dust mite allergy! He coughs non stop at night and none of us are able to sleep. Im trying to keep the bedding and room as clean as possible but it doesnt look like its enough to stop him from coughing at night. Im looking for a purifier. I have read through a lot of reviews but no one seems to have mentioned anything about dust mites! Does anyone have dust mite allergy and which purifier would help me tackle this issue? Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance

Hi. I have a DC04 Dyson & the belts I find difficult to fit and last very long, lately. Just wonder if theres another belt that maybe 1-2 inches longer from another Dyson model, that I could use on my DC04, that I can fit easier? I know the belt has to be some what taut to function, but I find in fitting a belt for a DC04, very difficult, almost to point, they break. So a slightly longer belt would be advantageous. Any advice would be appreciated. Yours sincerely, Benoit
