Dyson is Back to Number 1 for Me

5 months ago, I created a post that my vacuum cleaner was a disappointment.   Dyson made arrangements to have the vacuum cleaner sent via UPS to an authorized repair shop.  The vacuum cleaner ended up missing.  After several attempts working with Dyson, they replaced it with a brand-new vacuum cleaner with ALL the attachments included.  The replacement vacuum cleaner is fantastic. It is a  BALL ANIMAL 3 COMPLETE.  This vacuum cleaner moves easy, pulls up the carpet with great sucking power and is easy to operate!  I’m a fan again!

Impressed with my Dyson upright DC40SPOTLIGHTED POST

Hi All,Wanted to share a good news story - we have recently moved back into our house that we’ve been renting out for the past 18 months and it seems that the tenants weren’t familiar with the fact that you need to empty the vacuum after use so our Dyson DC40 had the best part of 18 months of dirt in it.Not only was it was easy to clean out but I turned it on initially without checking and it was still sucking up dirt - very impressive considering the state of the internals. I attach a photo of what we emptied out.10/10 to Dyson on this one for making a pretty much indestructible machine.

animal wand stuck in handle

I’ve just assembled my animal ball, bought some months back, hoovering works fine, BUT, the wand is struck in the handle and I cannot get it out. Looking at websites, this seems to be common problem for a lot of people. Design or manufacturing fault? Help!

No suction in new animal ball 3 wand, even when upright

I just got the animal ball three, but the there is no suction in the wand and hose at any time. Having previously owned a Dyson ball in London, I’m surprised at this experience in the US. How do I go about resolving this?

Dyson Animal Light Ball vertical pipe blocked

Hi all, I am hoping someone can help. I have a Dyson Animal light ball and it is blocked. It is blocked in the clear vertical pipe that goes from the top of the ball assembly to the opening in to the detachable waste bin. I can pull out stuff from the top of the pipe but I can see there is stuff in there all down the pipe. Is there a way at getting at it?

Dyson DC40 Brush Bar won't spin when activated

Hi there,The Brushbar of my Dyson DC40 will no longer spin when the brush bar button is activated on the machine. I have removed the active base plate from the machine and both parts of the brush bar. There doesn’t seem too be anything clogging the bars that I can see when they have been removed. My machine is no longer in guarantee.Any help/advice would be much appreciatedMany ThanksDeclan

Vacuum hose too stiff

I have an animal3. Does anyone have any tricks for improving the flexibility of the vacuum hose? I can pull it out with no problem but it's so stiff and inflexible that when I try to use it just pulls the vacuum cleaner over. AND, I can't really bend it around anything. Let's say I'm vacuuming around a chair and I want to get behind it by pulling out the hose and stretching it around the legs to get to the back - it's so stiff it just can't be done.

Dyson V15 Detect Attachment Tool Idea

I own a Dyson V15 Detect and most of the cleaning attachments.   I have a specific need and am surprised Dyson has not already thought of it.  I have hardwood floors & some large heavy furniture with molding too low to the floor for any of my devices to fit under & require me to move them to clean under.  Crevice tools do not reach & clean only specific spots in-aim.  I could really us a long floor-duster attachment that is slim but sweeping, like a long fabric duster or Swiffer to reach all the way to the back of an armoire.I just bought my mother in law a Shark cordless vacuum system (easier tech for her at 80 yrs old), and they have an attachment similar to my idea.Is this something you can create?!?  It would need some flexibility for angles, but top of the component  to end must reach under furniture.  The connectors on all of my current attachments will not clear the base of my furniture.Thank you.

Never again, Dyson 35 years of Dyson finish. Looking forward to a Shark

The cleaning head was replaced in August 2023 on my Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal. It has a design fault, hair gets trapped between the roller and a tab that protrudes and jams the roller. See photo.I called CS who agreed a free repair,IF I wait 10 days for a courier, 7 days with a repair agent and another 7 days plus to be couriered back. Or pay £65 for a new head. In other words lets wind you up so you don’t want to be without your machine. It’s a user removable part, why on earth do I have to return the whole machine? split hose light ball cleaner

Vacumn not sucking. Pulled it apart to find blockage but the hose from the head to the canister is split in 3 places. Can I get a replacement hose. Dont live in capital city to take to repair.

What is this plastic part: 11-6928

Reposting with photos: (typo in title should read: 11-6929) I found this small plastic part jammed in the stair brush tool from my upright DC50 recently purchased 2nd hand.  It’s clear and has code: 11-6929. Also has inscription: “PC Dyson”. (I’m not certain that it belongs to this model)thanks

I don't recommend this company

Hi community, I really don’t recommend this company and their products. Maybe products itself is good but everything around that is absolutely terrible. There is my story. I ordered there product directly from this web almost  a month ago and got message from parcel service that my package is on the way. After one week I look to the parcel service tracking web page and UPS didn’t get package from Dyson - so for now fine for me it is xmas time. After one week I got user manual a warranty list to the email for the product which did’t arrive - still fine for me - just small logistic issues. After another week I got email regarding survey who I’m happy with the product and a day after, another email how I’m happy with shopping experience. (on the parcel service same message - “we didn’t get package from Dyson, and still waiting) So I decided to contact customer service. A guess what: they didn’t know what happed and still repeating same sentence “we are trying to investigate your issue, pl

I always start my V15 with an empty bin and clear airway.I cleaned sawdust by V15 last weekair hole jamed by wood dusy.those sawdusty had been cleaned. Althuoght my V15 seems to work as usual.I still concern about the influence to motorCould any help.BRchenmin

How to remove exhaust filter from DC24 vacuum?

When I press down the red button, the exhaust filter unit in the orange ball no longer pops out.  As I am 3 hours away from the nearest Dyson service centre with an old machine, is there a DIY fix?

dyson allergy plus-too much suction

Help! This is our first, and possibly last, Dyson. We have the Allergy Plus model and there is no suction control. Yes, you read that correctly, no suction control. We have several area rugs so this is basically useless to us as it immediately sucks up the rug and jams. I tried customer service but they did not understand the fact that this model has no suction control slider. They kept sending me manuals to other models and then suggested I go to a repair shop which is 2 hours away! I stupidly assumed I had 90 days to return but found out it was only 30 after the return window passed 🤦🏻‍♀️  Has anyone found a way to fix this issue so I don’t just have a really expensive clothes hanger 🤬

Wrong spare part sent - Internal hose for Dyson small ball

Hi,The internal hose on my Dyson small ball is full of holes, so I ordered a replacement from the Dyson website - the part number is 968702-01.Dyson sent me a different hose which does not fit my machine. I contacted Dyson via the online assistant and they sent me a second replacement hose. Unfortunately they sent the wrong hose, it looks like part no: 924796-02.  Looking at the connection, the original has a curved bottom whereas the spares are square. This is the correct part: 968702-01and this is the replacement part sent by Dyson: 924702-01  Can anyone help me resolve this issue please ?Thanks,Tony

i cant handle customer service

I bought a Dyson Big Ball Allergy Plus worth $700 - year ago. The carpet head attachment has stopped working completely and I have A LOT of carpets. I contacted customer service in August; they told me the part wasn’t in stock but when it was, I’d be notified and it’d be mailed to me.Well I waited until October and still nothing. I contacted them twice and they kept saying the piece hadn’t been restocked, now, my hose was going and the general wood floor attachment SCREAMS whenever I use it. I told them this and they offered me a full exchange but that my version wasn’t in stock so they’d send me a Big Ball Total Clean that they assured me was as good as my current model.i have been long rolling mg carpets the whole time during this by the way.Anyways, I said sure. They said they would arrange to have a box for my unit to be at the Purolator Center and I just needed to bring my into with the label and ship it. Hepa filter replacement: 920769-01

 Hello, I own a Dyson ball animal 2, love it, and want to replace my filter.  However, the official filter (link below) in the US was never in stock. I checked every few weeks on your website. And I have been doing that for almost a year now. In the meantime there are a lot of knock off filters sold on Amazon.  I don't understand how Dyson cannot create enough replacement filters that are used by almost the entire corded ball series. When I phone call the customer support, all I was told was to click on the notify me link, which is useless as I never gotten any notifications. https://www.dyson.com/support/journey/spare-details.920769-01

How to exchange international machine for US dyson airwrap

Hello, my boyfriend recently bought me a dyson air wrap from the Netherlands not even 2 weeks ago. We were not aware that you cannot use an adapter or converter to use the dyson in the United States. I spoke on the phone with 3 representatives and one of them recommended me to get it repairs so the voltage is the correct one. I called multiple times through customer service to request this, but they told me there was nothing they could do.  It’s ridiculous how terrible the cross border customer service is. How hard is it just to exchange a new machine for another one especially when it costs about $600. Is there anything I can do?
