Despite my best efforts I am unable to remove the hose to extend its length. It’s stuck with no discernible way of releasing it.

Sorry to see you’re having difficulty retrieving the hose cuff from your Dyson DC07 vacuum’s wand - I appreciate this would be tricky in the event of the hose tearing as it has.
All we could really recommend would be trying to carefully grip the end of the hose cuff using long-nosed pliers or similar tools to pull it away from the wand.
I’m sorry I don’t have a more conclusive answer on this occasion.
