My DC41 became difficult to steer when using today. When turned over, the non-filter ball segment makes a grinding noise. Can I do anything with it (trained RAF A Tech vintage 68)? TIA
Hi
Thank you for raising this with us.
Check the soleplate to ensure there is no debris or damage to the wheels, and check the wheels are not missing.
To resolve this issue you will have to contact our customer service team to look into this for you.

Regards,
TY for the prompt response. FYI, no damage to soleplate or wheels, which I can confirm are both there – I think their absence, one or both, might have been a major clue as to a problem, but not the one that I am suffering. I will try Customer Services asap.
Internal baring, broken housing maybe. Have you tried a strip down and inspection? Dyson won’t suggest it as it voids the warranty. They’ll always recommended their own engineers inside the 5-year cover. If you’re feeling confident, YouTube has several strip down videos to get stuck into.
