I have the light ball, When moving the ball from storage to cleaning carpets there was a loss of suction
Followed the steps on Dyson to solve the problem and noticed that the Internal hose comes unclipped when the machine is raised or lowered
Is the hose faulty ?

It sound like it! Can you make a claim under the warranty cover? I’m sure its 5 years on that model.
You probably need a new Lower Duct - Here the video showing how to replace it.
Dyson will replace it if your under guarantee. If not, try google for the cheapest place to buy one.
