Dyson Multifloor Animal UP34 telescopic hose hose will not retract!

Dear anyone who can help!

I’ve just spent 35 minutes on the phone to Dyson, but the adviser wasn’t familiar with this machine, although they were very nice and could not help.

It only arrived yesterday!  It’s not as straight forward as other Dyson’s I’ve had and I worked out how to get the telescopic extension out, but now it won’t go back into the hose!!  Nothing I do will budge it, so I can’t it as normal, as the hose and extension are stuck.  There is no button to press. Please can anyone help?

Best wishes and many thanks

Becca

Hi @CleanFreak22,

Welcome to the Dyson Community, and congratulations on your new Dyson Ball Animal Multi Floor!

When you replace the hose and wand onto the main body of your machine, the wand should collapse down automatically as you hook the base of the wand handle onto the main body:

Dyson Ball™ Animal Multi Floor - replacing the hose and wand

Make sure everything is aligned as shown in the image above, and that the hose isn’t excessively twisted.

This should resolve things, but if you continue to have issues, feel free to reach out to Dyson Customer Care directly for some further help. You can get in touch by visiting Dyson.com and clicking Support.
