Hello,
Currently having trouble getting the headphones to not sound like I’m in a phone call/underwater on my Windows 11 PC
I have disabled the mic in the sound settings, as I use an external mic and made sure the audio output is set to “Headphones” instead of “Headset”. I am unsure what to do. There is no application using the mic, which is the typical issue I’ve had with other headphones having this sound quality issue before(all high end, near no bass, crisp, not full sound)
Any other help is appreciated. I love these headphones and they sound just fine when I’m using them on my phone not on a phone call, just trying to do the same for my PC.
I am updated to the most current public version of Win11 (23H2) and made sure my OnTracs are up to date in the app.
Hi
Welcome to the Dyson Community!
I’ve checked with our audio engineering team and they’ve advised the issue you’re encountering lies within the Windows operating system or an application triggering your headphones to be in HFP (hands free profile) mode. It’s not a problem with your Dyson OnTrac headphones.
As such it’s not something we can resolve, and the team recommend reporting this issue to Windows for a fix.
Hope this provides some further insight!
