Hi,Had a recent air inspection and the living room is coming back with higher levels (twice that of the bedrooms) of asbergillus penecillium which is a common mold spore. just bought the Dyson hp07 and system is indicating air quality is good. Does this system help get rid off these mold spores? Right out of the box it says air quality is good.
Hi I have Dyson Pure Cool™ tower purifier fan from 2018. My glass hepa and inner carbon filters has been used up for a while now but I'm not able to order replacement since inner carbon filter seems to be out of stock all the time and only glass hepa filter in stock. I see https://www.dyson.co.uk/support/journey/tools/965432-01 is in stock but I'm not sure if my device would be compatiable with this as it is not listed on the page however they look very similar. Would you be able to confirm if I can order and use this one please?
I plugged in the purifier at my new flat, worked fine for hours, then I turned on its heating function and after a while there was a puff of spark/flame and it shut down. I circled the rough area it came from, I’m guessing it’ll be a fuse or something that I need to replace.Anyone know which part I should look at?The wall plug itself is probably dodgy I would guess so I’ll plug it in somewhere else once it’s fixed Cheers,Will
I have 4 purifiers hot cold all registered in my app . I went to purchase another hot cold purifier today to find only the formaldehyde one is app compatible. Is Dyson doing away with the app ? Why do new fans not have the ability to be on the app ?I love the app to schedule “my house” all my fans.thanks
Hi All - I purchased a PH04 humidifier/purifier at the beginning of this year, and it has been a huge headache for me. I normally wouldn’t complain but with the amount of money I spent I think I deserve a better result. I am currently on my 4th unit - each one has after 3 developed a relatively loud high pitch buzzing noise, that I think can most accurately be described as comparable to the sound a cicada (more like 1,000 cicadas) makes. I use the purifier as a fan/humidifier overnight night in my bedroom, and the sound occasionally becomes loud enough to wake me up. It is most definitely not normal operation, because the fan makes an acceptable amount of noise for several weeks up to a few months before it starts happening. 2 of the units replaced outright right away, and the third one I sent to the repair center where it was found to be unrepairable and replaced again. While I do appreciate the replacement machines, it seems to me that the problem is widespread if 4 in a row have had
Does the Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde recognise and remove PFAS? (The airborne compounds are thought to break off of PFAS-treated products such as carpeting and clothing and attach to dust or freely float through the indoor environment.PFAS are dubbed “forever chemicals” because they do not naturally break down. They accumulate in animals, including humans, and are linked to cancer, birth defects, liver disease, thyroid disease, decreased immunity, hormone disruption and a range of other serious health problems.)
Does anyone know a great alternative to the PH04 as the Dyson Purify Humidify is not available in Australia and its gonna be a really Dry summer this Year.I'm looking to get a Humidifyer but dyson doesn't sell their one here. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)
I see others may have had this same issue, but I just couldn’t find the response I was looking for. The closest to an answer I’ve read is that it is faulty and to to contact Dyson. Perhaps that’s the answer, let me know. Here’s the issue. For a while, setting the fan unit to heat and setting the required temp (for example, 17) the unit would show the set temp with a red dot next to it to indicate it is in heating mode and blew hot air until the desired temp is reached. It would then go into a light cool air (purifying?) and the red dot disappeared. She. The temp had dropped too low, the unit would automatically pick back up, red dot appears and the heater would start to blow hot air again. No longer. Now, the heater will REMAIN in hot blow with the red dot illuminated and just not stop even when the desired temp is surpassed. External room thermometer is showing 26° but the unit is only set to 17. And it’s still pumping out hot air. We use it in the kids room when we are away and I’m
I have recently purchased the Dyson HEPA Purifier TP09 Formaldehyde Purifying Fan.Unfortuantley I have a room that has quite a bit of mold. The purfier that is in the room says that the air in the room is good.Should the purfier be detecting that the room has mold?Or does it only detect the mold when you disturb it (clean it). Be grateful for any advice. Thanks
Hello Dyson community! I’m wondering if anyone has experience using a Dyson air purifier to deal with smoke drifting from downstairs to upstairs in the house. My husband smokes in the living room, and the smoke tends to travel upstairs into the bedrooms. Can the Dyson air purifier effectively help reduce or eliminate this issue? I’d appreciate any insights or recommendations. Thanks! (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)
Hello, I have a new Dyson Hot+Cool Formaldehyde purifyer and it seems the VOC sensor is not sensitive enough. I suffer asthma and therefore I own two Airthings Wave air quality monitors. The AW monitor went from VOC 76 to VOC 620 in a room where I have closed windows. The Dyson app shows VOC 0. I tried to vacoom the sensors but there was no change.I have opened windows. It reacts well to the PM values. It seeems that the NO sensor is not sensitive either, because outside there is NO 9 but inside NO 0 on the Dyson app and there is almost same air as outside now.I made a test putting a bad smelling item next to the sensor and it reacted, so the sensor is not broken, just not sensitive enough.I would like to know, it I manually increase the fan speed, does it clean the gasses more? Or is it necessary for the machine to measure higher VOC itself to start to destroy the gasses?I increased the fan for maximum for 30 minutes (with the windows closed) and there was no change in VOC in the room
I plugged in my Dyson hot and cool fan and it ‘Pinged’ and won’t work at all. I changed sockets, changed fuse and tried a reset but nothing. I contacted Dyson they said they could not repair it, all they could offer was 25% off a new one! I purchased it in 2018, not used that much, just purchased a filter costing £55. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Hi, i own an older dyson hot cool fan, which after looking online for a manual i have found to be a product recall. I filled in the online form for a repair or replace. After hearing nothing decided to call customer services, explained the situation to the guy who said it was to old to repair and i should buy a newer up to date one and bin the other one. I told him there's nothing wrong with my fan I'm going by the recall on the dyson website, and i dont see why i should bin a working item for a manufacturing fault. His reply was nothing they could or would do so its up to you if you use it. Is there a time limit on recalls?
Hello, I have a TP09 (newer Formaldehyde purifier) and a slightly older DP04. The DP04 used to consume both a separate carbon filter and HEPA filter, but Dyson have since implemented an all-in-one Carbon+HEPA filter, which I am using in my DP04. The slightly annoying thing is that Dyson have not yet implemented a visual solution to the change in filters being sold, so both the machine itself and the app show that 2 separate older style filters are needed, and while the counters are reset once in a blue moon, it would be fantastic if Dyson changed the software on the purifier and the app to show just the need for one filter. I understand that the counter is just the same as the older one, but it’s slightly poor that Dyson have ignored this, especially as it’s a consumable. Are the Dyson software developers aware of this, and are there any planned changes to upcoming software releases, both for the purifier itself and the app to communicate the new type of filter, and align all of th
Hello! Please make available setting for limit maximum fan level when purifier (lets say TP09) in AUTO mode. I want to use AUTO mode with all benefits of Dyson AUTO measuring and react on air quality but its too LOUD when it sense something and trying to purify. I am think that I am not only one who find this setting useful and wait for it. (Moderation Edit - Tags Added/Title Updated)
This will be my last ever dyson purchase of anything, the customer service is appalling over waiting months to find out about getting a replacement hp04 filter . So the question is where are they all??? The answer to that is I don’t know and nor does dyson as todays WhatsApp message from dyson was this “Filters are currently out of stock direct but can be purchased through our third party retail partners - eSpares, PartMaster, 4Your Home, Appliance Spares Warehouse, Buyspares & PartCentre.”so we spend over £500 on a machine to then put in non dyson parts - is it covered by warranties who knows ? dyson please stick to hoovers im Done dealing with bad customer service and you having no filters for your Machines
Australia is one of the most dry places on earth during the summer. I wish dyson would release their Pure Humidify+Cool Machines here..
I would love it if Dyson would release their Pure Humidify+Cool machines in Australia. The dry summer air here can be very uncomfortable, and these machines would be a great way to add moisture and improve air quality.
On the app I getting Drip Tray overflow showing. Tried to do a deep clean but it wouldn’t respond, deleted the app and uploaded it and the message is still showing. Any ideas as to how I get rid of the message. It is dry and has only been in the house today and this warning came on at the first use.
Hi folks,I've got an issue with a new TP09 purchased directly. We've had it on maybe 6/7 hours a day, but yesterday night I noticed a smell in the room.Tonight I noticed the same thing, like a mix between butter that had gone off and mild cheese and onion crisps. I hunted around and finally sniffed the air coming from the fan and that was it. My partner thinks it smells like a plasticky smell, but I think it definitely has a more ‘organic' vibe..Nothing has been spilled on or near the fan. Has anybody else experienced this and is this a known issue with the fan? Can anything be done to fix it?
