How do I reset the filter life indicator on my Dyson purifier heater HP00? | Dyson Community

Can someone please explain the reset procedure for a HP00 fan as none of the instructions seem to be correct. I have just received my machine back from Dyson repair and the filter symbol has gone but I am still non the wiser and I am concerned than when it appears again I’ll have to return it again. Please any help is welcome

Hi Adam, I appreciate your response but I have looked at this document and it has not resolved my issue. I have seen all the u tube videos, read a dozen or so documents to no avail. I sent the machine to Dyson expecting some written procedure on return but nothing. They fixed the filter reset. How is my question. My fan is NOT link and I cannot therefore reset from the app. I have tried all the button combinations both with machine powered and then starting with the power off. I don’t have a sleep button on my remote and when I hold the power button the remote and keep holding it the machine just switches off…. Dyson site doesn’t seem to have a support email where I can ask about my repair number… very frustrated…..

Same with me just switches off. Any solution? Thanks

I also have the same issue.

I just spoke to Support on the webchat and they say that it needs to be repaired, and booked in for a service.

Here we go again… filter symbol showing and no way to reset. I cannot believe that I have to send it away every time the filter needs to be reset. That’s just really inconvenient. I paid over £400 for this unit direct from Dyson and I maintain it as per the manual and instructions. This is just nonsense now. Not happy at all 😡

Update, as per Benw response Dyson have said it needs to be sent away for repair. I insisted that the fan is not broken and merely needs its filter reset I cannot believe that Dyson expect me to pay £170 every 10 months, £99 for repair fee (out of warranty) when unit is not broken and £70 for the filter. The replacement filter is an expected cost but it is obvious that the HP00 units do not comply with Dysons standard maintenance protocols as directed in their documentation and manuals. These units should be removed and replaced by Dyson. If I had know that it was going to cost me including the purchase price nearly £1000 for a fan over 3 yrs I would have bought a cheaper one for £40 and replaced it every year.

The support staff are great in arranging the repair but the underlying issue has not been resolved and there is no mechanism in place for me to resolve this issue. I cannot believe that this is what Dyson has intended for its customers. I would hope that someone suitably senior within Dyson contact me to resolve this issue because I am NOT a happy customer and at this present moment in time believe I have been truly misled….😡‼️‼️‼️
