Dyson Air Purifier / Electrical Plug - Feedback

With the value of the Dyson air purifiers. Why is the electrical cord design with a two prong straight plug and not a grounded three prong flat plug? Per recommendation; the plug should be connected directly into a wall outlet but depending if there is furniture covering the outlet, the furniture has to separate from the wall or stick out further instead of having a flat plug so the furniture can remain flush to the wall.

Dyson Hot & Cool Fan Speed Query in Hot Mode - Can you adjust the fan speed.

I have a HP04 and when in hot mode it seems to just go straight to near to max fan speed, is this normal?In cool manual mode I control from a slight breeze to full speed but when I activate the heat mode even with fan speed one it starts probably about the equivalent of 5 for maybe 20 seconds and then jumps up to an 8.I saw a similar post that was not sure of their outcome but just trying to understand if this is normal behaviour or not. That other post seemed to imply that this is standard behaviour so that the room heats up as quickly as possible but it makes the fan quite impractical given the noise and how close it is to my work space - are you able to have a low speed with the heat on?

Apple Watch Ultra 2 doesn't recognize registered air purifier

We have a Dyson Air Purifier (TP09). it was registered into the iPhone application, whih works like a champ.Just now I got a new Apple Watch Ultra 2, where MyDyson app is installed. But when activated, it just says ADD MACHINE and instructing doing it in the phone application). But As I write, the device is successfully registered in phone application.Is it is bug in the watch applictaion not yet supporting Ultra 2? Or there is something I have to do to ceent it to the devie (both the phone, watch and the device are on the same wi-fi network of course)?Any suggestion?Thanks in advance.

Huge spike in VOC levels shortly AFTER airing the room. Any suggestions?

Hello all,Trying to get my head around something that is happening in our newly built garden room. There is a huge spike in VOC levels after closing the door to outside, that goes from good all the way up to very poor within an hour, then slowly comes down over the next few days back to good. Once it is back down to green, it will stay like this for days until the door is opened again, the fresh air from outside comes in and the VOCs drop to absolutely nothing, but as soon as the door closes there is a huge spike again which. I cannot see the logic in why this is happening. There are a lot of things which could be off gassing, lots of adhesive and glue used in the construction of the room, but I cannot fathom why the huge spike is only noticeable immediately after letting fresh air circulate for a few hours. My only theory is maybe the VOCs are not being cleared in the whole room by the Dyson, only very locally to the machine and when the air from outside circulates it moves any vapour

HP09 fan heater - How to Use

Yesterday I received my HP09 fan heater direct from Dyson.I chose this model because the website advised it suitable for whole room heating.However, the safety information leaflet received with the heater advises”This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use”.I can’t see this statement on the website - did I miss it?Do owners of this machine use it constantly without issues ? please advise.

Wifi not connecting on my Hot+Cool Purifier?

it a 3 months old unit and was connected with wifi and can be controlled on the dyson app before until a week ago we use the cool fan it over night with the timer on. The next day we cannot find it on the app and the wifi is animating, i keep on trying to connect to the wifi as per troubleshoot instructions, it say “Connection Issue we’re having problems connecting your machine to the Wi-Fi network”

Dyson HP07 treat asbergillus penecillium mold?

Hi,Had a recent air inspection and the living room is coming back with higher levels (twice that of the bedrooms) of asbergillus penecillium which is a common mold spore. just bought the Dyson hp07 and system is indicating air quality is good. Does this system help get rid off these mold spores? Right out of the box it says air quality is good.

Purifier - Is there any data showing Dyson success in removing VOCs?

I am trying to find a good purifier to reduce VOCs. I have had terrible luck with other brands and have used monitors to track VOC levels. Has anyone else used a Dyson VOC/Formaldehyde purifier and measured results using monitors? Is there any data out there that actually measures VOCs before and after the purifier was used? Thank you!

Dyson Pure Cool™ tower Glass HEPA + Inner Carbon Filter - Is there a suitable replacement?

Hi I have Dyson Pure Cool™ tower purifier fan from 2018. My glass hepa and inner carbon filters has been used up for a while now but I'm not able to order replacement since inner carbon filter seems to be out of stock all the time and only glass hepa filter in stock. I see https://www.dyson.co.uk/support/journey/tools/965432-01 is in stock but I'm not sure if my device would be compatiable with this as it is not listed on the page however they look very similar. Would you be able to confirm if I can order and use this one please?

Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Formaldehyde - No power/electrical short - Ideas?

I plugged in the purifier at my new flat, worked fine for hours, then I turned on its heating function and after a while there was a puff of spark/flame and it shut down. I circled the rough area it came from, I’m guessing it’ll be a fuse or something that I need to replace.Anyone know which part I should look at?The wall plug itself is probably dodgy I would guess so I’ll plug it in somewhere else once it’s fixed Cheers,Will

I have 4 purifiers hot cold all registered in my app . I went to purchase another hot cold purifier today to find only the formaldehyde one is app compatible. Is Dyson doing away with the app ? Why do new fans not have the ability to be on the app ?I love the app to schedule “my house” all my fans.thanks

Will the Air Purifier remove Detected Mold?

I have recently purchased the Dyson HEPA Purifier TP09 Formaldehyde Purifying Fan.Unfortuantley I have a room that has quite a bit of mold. The purfier that is in the room says that the air in the room is good.Should the purfier be detecting that the room has mold?Or does it only detect the mold when you disturb it (clean it). Tobacco Smoke removed by Dyson air purifier

Hello Dyson community! I’m wondering if anyone has experience using a Dyson air purifier to deal with smoke drifting from downstairs to upstairs in the house. My husband smokes in the living room, and the smoke tends to travel upstairs into the bedrooms. Can the Dyson air purifier effectively help reduce or eliminate this issue? New Dyson Hot+Cool Purifyer doesn’t show VOC, is it broken?

Hello, I have a new Dyson Hot+Cool Formaldehyde purifyer and it seems the VOC sensor is not sensitive enough. I suffer asthma and therefore I own two Airthings Wave air quality monitors. The AW monitor went from VOC 76 to VOC 620 in a room where I have closed windows. The Dyson app shows VOC 0. I tried to vacoom the sensors but there was no change.I have opened windows. It reacts well to the PM values. It seeems that the NO sensor is not sensitive either, because outside there is NO 9 but inside NO 0 on the Dyson app and there is almost same air as outside now.I made a test putting a bad smelling item next to the sensor and it reacted, so the sensor is not broken, just not sensitive enough.I would like to know, it I manually increase the fan speed, does it clean the gasses more? Or is it necessary for the machine to measure higher VOC itself to start to destroy the gasses?I increased the fan for maximum for 30 minutes (with the windows closed) and there was no change in VOC in the room

Help - My Dyson hot and cool fan not working - Suggestions on a repair?

I plugged in my Dyson hot and cool fan and it ‘Pinged’ and won’t work at all. I changed sockets, changed fuse and tried a reset but nothing. I contacted Dyson they said they could not repair it, all they could offer was 25% off a new one! I purchased it in 2018, not used that much, just purchased a filter costing £55. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Software Feature Request: Filter Update Request | Duel vs Single Variants

Hello, I have a TP09 (newer Formaldehyde purifier) and a slightly older DP04. The DP04 used to consume both a separate carbon filter and HEPA filter, but Dyson have since implemented an all-in-one Carbon+HEPA filter, which I am using in my DP04. The slightly annoying thing is that Dyson have not yet implemented a visual solution to the change in filters being sold, so both the machine itself and the app show that 2 separate older style filters are needed, and while the counters are reset once in a blue moon, it would be fantastic if Dyson changed the software on the purifier and the app to show just the need for one filter. I understand that the counter is just the same as the older one, but it’s slightly poor that Dyson have ignored this, especially as it’s a consumable. Are the Dyson software developers aware of this, and are there any planned changes to upcoming software releases, both for the purifier itself and the app to communicate the new type of filter, and align all of th
