When should you deep cycle vs replace the evaporator filter? Instructions not clear! The deep cycle symbol comes up on the LCD screen, but that mean to replace the evaporator or deep cycle clean?

Hi @Edkrause2,

Welcome to the Dyson Community!

If the Deep clean cycle symbol is showing, that’s a prompt to run the Deep clean cycle.

We wouldn’t normally expect the evaporator to need replacing when used and maintained according to the User guide - it should last the lifetime of the machine itself.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Jack, I appreciate your comment and suggestion. I already bought new filters and evaporators to have on hand just in case. When the deep clean is run why is there no fan running or movement of water in the tank? Is the evaporator just soaking in the citric acid being cleaned?
