Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if Dyson sell or supply free of charge replacement batteries for the Purifier remotes?

I’ve been to the local shop and can’t see the same type on the shelves. They aren’t specialist ones are they?

Thank you so much.

Grace.

Hi @GraceWood ,

I can confirm that we do not sell or supply the replacement batteries for the purifier remotes. If the remote is faulty, you would require a replacement remote.

In the instance where a replacement part is required, we can help you find the right one, and confirm if it’s covered by your Dyson guarantee.

To get started, we’d suggest reaching out to our team via WhatsAppOur team can then run through some quick and easy troubleshooting checks, the result of which are then input into a diagnostic tool, which helps to pinpoint the exact part that needs replacing.

Simply click on our Guides and manuals link, navigate to the ‘Contact us’ section of the page and start a WhatsApp conversation.

Thanks,

Jodey

Hi @Jodey

Thanks for the information. I called and can’t order a replacement battery, only a remote, which I don’t need.

Do you know the type of battery in the remote? I’m guessing it’s a standard size?

Thanks.

Grace.

@GraceWood They are known as Button Cell Batteries. They range from £2 - £5 depending on the retailer and the size.

Quick google recommends their own video on replacement - Looks to be CR 2032 3V

To make sure you order the correct one, I’d remove the one you have first..

Good luck :)

Thank you @Kibbleb

A new battery arrived today. I ordered it from Amazon, 2 Duracell for £2.19. I had to borrow a small screwdriver my from neighbour to get the screw out, it was very fiddly.

The remote started to work as soon as the new one went in and I have a spare battery for next time.
